Nowadays, home-support for elder people is provided to help them, in their everyday life and reviews the peculiarities of aging in place. However, the low-level community services arise the issues of current national policy, which should provide the quality of such services. The aim of this work is to analyze the influence of the community-based services on the life of older people.

The quality of life is a concept, which reveals the satisfaction of human needs and values, taking into account their life circumstances. Elders define the concept of life quality by the following notions: day-to-day life, good people, at my age, living with loss, keeping healthy, and the future. Good people are those, who surround and support the elders during their life. Good people usually include family, friends, neighbors, home-helpers and so forth. The priority is given to the family.

The members of the family provide physical and emotional support to the elders, creating the atmosphere of secure and comfortable time spending. Friends are no less important elements of their life quality. They are characterized by the mutual support and casual interaction. Home helpers are considered as those, who provide the comfortable life conditions and help for the elders. They usually provide the services of household, practicing the skills of socialization. The next important point of the life quality is day-to-day life.

This concept includes looking for elder’s home and community. Here belong the daily obligations of every housekeeper and their qualitative execution. Keeping health touches the issues of the individual condition of state and spirit of the elder. Different people have different views on the issues of health. Some consider it as useful meals and regular walking, while others prefer pills and medical examinations. However, both of these opinions include the notion of keeping health as one of the main indicators of life quality.

Living with loss includes the loss of close people and touches the issues of loneliness. At my age comprises the analysis of life experience of the elder, his best ideas and worse mistakes. The community-based service greatly influences the life of elder people. It includes coordinating services (for example, all-inclusive care programs), personal care services (the work of home-health agencies working with disabled or blind people at home), nutrition (home delivery of meals), transportation (volunteer programs) and others.

All these means aim to make the life of older people easier and more comfortable and at the same time rise the popularity of community-service programs. However, in most countries they do not work in a proper way. There are thousands of elders in the world, who live alone and badly need the appropriate care. The government programs can greatly support these needs, without the necessity for the applicants to live their homes and move to the appropriate institution. Analyzing this, we can make conclusion, that the governmental programs of community-service for elders have to be thoroughly checked and improved.

From their proper function, depend the life quality of the majority of elders in the world, as most of them prefer to stay in their places, receiving governmental aid from outside.
