Extract of sample "Canadian Multicultural Society"

The article continues to raise the problems of racism and bullying that existed since the violence of colonization and also tends to examine the behavior in sports teams, the team names, and mascots. The schools and sports centers control racist imagery but then the media steps in and portray offensive mascots and statements against the indigenous people. The writer concludes the article with a summary of the problems with indigenous people in Canadian society and how it is being misled by the media.

This is creating more complexities in society and isolating the viewpoints of some important individuals of the community. CommentaryThis article raises a very important topic and aspect of Canadian society which is a thoughtful insight into an issue that has existed for years. The writer has used some very authentic sources and philosophers’ ideologies, theories, and sayings to support her claims and statements. This has made the article even more authentic and detailed. However, it seems to be very detailed and at times the writer loses its plot and talks about other elements.

The research is through primary and secondary sources including the writer’s personal opinions and stances on the issue. Other sources are used to portray the historical accounts and current details about Canadian society.Even though the writer has covered a wide range of information and explained the issue from every aspect, the conclusion rather lacks recommendations and future predictions about the issue. The author gives an account of the problem of racism in sports and media that has existed since the colonization but fails to give solutions or suggestions of how this problem can be solved when it has paved its way deep in the society.

Moreover, the writer has also not given the likely future of the multicultural Canadian society and how it can be shattered due to this issue. At the end of the article, the author has expressed her hope for the future which is a good way to end the article.
