Extract of sample "Social Problems"

Social problems; The Rich and the Poor People from different social es have and produce problems, and it is, therefore, unfair to say that the rich are a social problem. It is a fact that the rich create fewer social problems compared to the poor. The wealthy can use their riches to treat their problems and compensate for the results of their problems thereby reducing the chances of creating social problems. The problem with the rich people’s morals is not a consequence of their life. The problem lies with the poor people’s perception about them.

They hold developed negative stereotypes concerning the ethics of the rich. The unfortunate in the society perceive the rich as being untrustworthy. The perception is so bad to the extent that they take joy in the rich people’s misfortunes. The rich peoples’ perceived jealousy and envy broadens the gap between them and the poor resulting to various social problems. The society fails to recognize some of the important contributions from the wealthy individuals. Their success and failures, sufferings and pleasures can be a mirror or reference point for others to realize the reality in life.

The materially unsuccessful worry less. The rich, on the other hand, have complicated problems in their lives despite their glamorous and carefree appearance. The rich should, therefore, be appreciated and tolerated if they display any social deviances. It is senseless to say some must become or remain poor for others to become rich. The wealth status of anyone depends on various factors. Some people are poor yet they do nothing to improve their status. Some people are born in wealthy families while others are materially blessed by God, and their success has nothing in exploiting others.

The common way for one to become rich is to work hard. Some study very hard in their lives and later acquire well-paying jobs leading to the wealthy class. Others are poor for either not working hard or using the excuse of being born in poor families. It is, therefore, absurd to hold that some must remain poor for others to prosper.
