The breakdown of the interconnection reflects in the changed destiny of humans such that they now want to be lords and masters of the universe. My friend was a religious man but after joining college, his ideology changed as a result of training that emphasizes that every action must have scientific backing. Breakdown of the connection between scientific, economic, and religious aspects has led to him seeking transcendence from the universe without balancing with the other facets.

The enlightenment was the period during the 1700s when reasoning, science, and respect for humanity were evolving in America and Europe. These values are useful today in that they influence the present basic morphology of humanity. Today’s scientific and religious values originate from the enlightenment when man’s belief in God’s involvement in every occurrence was taken over by natural laws which explained every event. (Salerno, 2004) For instance, today religious obligations are not a concern for many. Another example; in the 1700s, individuals had a feeling of obligation towards society. In the 21st century, this has declined as people become more individualistic. However, most of the values continue influencing today’s human interaction within the universe.
