The World as An Apple The exercise uses an apple, to show our dependence on the earth surface supporting life. The earth is divided into sections that all have different and important benefits to the living things. There is land that can be inhabited and others part is hostile and inhospitable for beings to live, and also on the habitable land, not whole of it enables growing of food need to support live.Also, there is variation on earth concerning climates, ruggedness, steepness that cannot allow production of food.

Human beings depend widely on the earth crust used for producing food. The top soil has been eroded, and over farmed but trees planted can prevent erosion, and recycle soil nutrients(Univ, 265).2. Ecological FootprintIt is extend of demand that human have on the ecosystem. Human beings need certain amount of land to support their lifestyle. Theyuse resources and also, they can lead a smooth life given simple rules are followed.It depends on the productivity of the land and sea area. Ecological footprint is dependent on the choices and changes that a person can make in their life, e.g. what they drive,purchase, recycle, and the portion share of infrastructure.

Theinfluence is direct on the first part and the latter is through indirect influence as political, technology and others that brings social change. The ecological life that I lead is conscientious and only would need 0.45 Earths(Urban Areas As a Sustainable Development Indicator, 556).3. Food Showdown: Fast Food Vs. HealthyThe financial constraints deny people eating in the right way. This is because of complains that, expense incurred in buying fruits and vegetables is high. But, consuming healthy food is possible on any kind of budget.
