My Ideal Community Project al Affiliation Cali is the third largest in Columbia. It is found about 990 meters above the sea level. Growing up in Cali, Colombia bears some striking similarities and differences with my ideal community. It is notable that growing up in Cali was characterized by healthy interactions with neighbors. The people are responsive to the need to embrace diversity and use it to build strong relationships that empower the community. This is a trait that is identical to that of my ideal community.
Both places have strong neighborhoods that are diverse in physical and residents characteristics. Cali is well connected to the rest of the world through a network of internet cables. It is easier to communicate and perform electronic transactions. My ideal community also bears this characteristic. In Cali, It is easy to connect to the internet and the speeds are quite okay. It is fulfilling in technological attributes but there is still room for further improvement. The government has also ensured that there is efficient and useful social amenities and public infrastructure such as hospitals, roads and schools.
The population density and composition is as prescribed in my ideal society. Cali has people from different ethnicities who live together peacefully. There is a culture of hospitality, tolerance and general acceptance of all people. This makes Cali similar to my ideal society based on its human dynamics and attributes. When it comes to security, Cali still has some loopholes to fill to match up to my ideal community. This is the main difference between the two communities. There are remnants of drug trade which compromises the security of the area.
On the other hand, my ideal community prioritizes safety of the residents at all times. Another difference relates to a cashless system. Cali has not full adopted a cashless system. While the ideal society has a cashless system for easy transactions in many sectors, most Cali sectors have not done enough to promote a paperless society. Except for banks, other industries lag behind.Later in my life, I intend to settle in Geneva, Switzerland. Geneva’s population is not as diverse in population as my ideal community holds.
However, the population has attributes that are described in my ideal community. For instance, people in the country are hospitable and friendly. They have residential bonds and a culture that focuses of healthy relationships between people and especially neighbors.Geneva is very advanced in technological systems, connectivity, transport networks and industrial developments. The ease in communication is commendable. There are safe means of fast and cheap transport as well as highly efficient industries that produce high quality goods.
This makes the town appropriate to live in and meet the desired standards of life for different people. My ideal community also imposes this kind of attribute in a town. Therefore, Geneva strongly conforms to technological, industrial and communication standards as those found in my ideal community. Security in Geneva is top notch. It is safe to do business and run errands at any time of the night. This eliminates worries on the life of people. On this aspect, the community is secure as it is recommended in my ideal community.
Much has been done to improve services through a cashless system. Though it is not fully adopted, it is highly spread in diverse industries. The most notable sector that employs the cashless system is the famed financial sector of the country.ReferencesMy ideal community project part 1, 2 and 3.docx
