Extract of sample "The Existence of God"

Despite this fact, God exists because of the changes happening on earth from time to time; the chain of causes, the existence, and non-existence of some things, degrees found in things as well as the ordering of things (Medieval Sourcebook 1). My conclusion on the existence of God is that he exists. God is entirely good, omnipotent, and omnipresent. This is the reason why he has given man the freedom to choose to do good or evil. This week’s readings discuss how Francis dictated the ‘Testament” before he died in 1226.

Francis is argued to have been given the power to do penance by God (Medieval Sourcebook 1). Francis was given faith by God to pray for churches and priests who were serving under the Roman church. Francis warns people to be careful not to worship in any church unless it is constructed to reflect holy poverty, which is promised in the rule. Francis urges the faithful to observe the holy rules so that they can be filled by blessings from God (Medieval Sourcebook 1). Francis acknowledges the existence of the holy trinity who are God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

He urges the faithful to put their faith in the Trinity so as to be blessed on earth.
