Undocumented immigration Introduction The term illegal immigration can be defined as trespassing the borders of another country and violating the laws set on immigration in that particular country. The countries that experienced a low economic and social status are the ones where many immigrants originate. The hope for a good economic gain is the major cause of the cases of immigration although there are other causes. The process of illegal immigration is not only achieved by the crossing of the borders.
There may be cases where an individual entered the country legally, but later violated the terms of the visa. He or she may overstay and hence cause an illegal immigration case (DAngelo et al. 12).Why we should support undocumented immigration Illegal immigration can be of an advantage to the host country. This is because the country enjoys cheap labor from the population of immigrants. This keeps the economy of the host country advancing because of the cheap labor. The immigrants also increase the consumption of the products that are produced in the host country.
This creates an additional market for the goods produced. The revenue of the country is improved by these immigrants this is because they contribute to the national security funds and most of the times they do not claim it back (DAngelo et al. 14).The immigrants are very keen on paying the sales tax. This s an advantage to the host country as it leads to the development of their economy. There are immigrants who own property in the host country. They take part in paying the estate taxes for their property.
They also pay the commissions to the agents they have employed. This creates employment opportunities. The common areas where immigrants reside are the depressed localities. Finding tenants in these areas is difficult; therefore, they solve the problem. They also contribute to the loan profits on mortgage. They also pay interest and also dividend in the banks again they strengthen the economy of the country (Aguirre and Jonathan 17).Why we should not support undocumented immigrationThere are numerous reasons as to why governments should not support the illegal immigrants in the country.
One of the reasons is that the overall population of the country is increased. This result to overcrowding in the public places, the transport network becomes a problem and other factors resulting from a large community. There may be a problem when an illegal immigrant commits a crime and escapes. The judicial problems may be very serious. In cases of illegal immigration, there may be cases of human trafficking as a result of sneaking people in the country (DAngelo et al. 20).When a country has many immigrants, it may result to them using the tax payers’ money and, therefore, making the state of that particular country be running at a very large budget.
This creates a necessity of prohibiting all undocumented immigrants which, therefore, save the country many funds that may be used in other important developments. Most of the undocumented immigrants are immigrants who enter into any given country illegally (Aguirre and Jonathan 23). They have a tendency offering cheap labor and accepting low wages in that particular country. This gives a big blow to the qualified legal citizens if that country as well as destroying labor force in that country.
This creates another reason as to why undocumented immigrations should be condemned. If the undocumented immigrants are left alone to carry on with their activities without facing the rule, this will give rise to cases of undocumented immigrations and, therefore, the government will continue losing much tax payer’s money. It is, therefore, necessary to condemn that act to discourage other people with the intention of entering the country illegally (Rosenblum and Toni-Michelle 29).Works CitedAguirre, Adalberto, and Jonathan H.
