Almost all adolescences experience some level of insecurity. How they perceive other teen’s opinions of them can be a major factor influencing their way of life (Seligman, 2002). This is because an individual self-worth is determined by others describe him or her, and how the peers believes friends see them. This document will assess the correlation between contentment and Christianity in adolescents.
Adolescence is the stage of life where everything appears to be in conflict. Adolescences learn new relationships, discover new attentions, and advance new principles about their way of life from relatives to matters of faith (Rymarz and Graham, 2006). At this stage, the teenager tries to move towards a discovered passion at a given time and can drop it overnight. A teenagers spiritual well-being is a major part in the mystery of determining their new developing self (Seligman, 2002). Several parents get concerned by how their children develop spiritually into Christianity during this stage. Most of the teens observe this identity as a way of discovering deeper faith in Christianity where they experience several challenges (Rymarz and Graham, 2006).
Several researchers have discovered that most religious community groups have a positive influence on the formation of an individual’s identity (Seligman, 2002). That is when learners are enclosed by a religious community, and they tend to develop a faithful religious identity. Though, when they are not supported with a well prepared religious background they tend to fail to develop spiritually (Seligman, 2002).
