ARTICLE REVIEW MODELING WORK: OCCUPATIONAL MESSAGES IN THE SEVENTEEN MAGAZINES The discussion topic in this research is the perception which the adolescent girls develop about the work environment. This article is based on the application of the teen magazine for the development of the image of the girls about the work environment and how these factors affect the way using which the individuals think, act and react. The image developed in the minds of the adolescents is that the job market is highly skewed and the development is specifically towards the entertainment industry.

Working in the entertainment industry is a challenging option with fruitful returns but developing the idea that it is the only career in the industry is misleading. This may also shatter the scope of growth using which the individuals pursue their personal and professional careers. This article is debating on the development of gender and its significance in the mediated world. Besides this the occupation aspirations along with the other magazine studies are also determined. The data and the methods used for the study through which the results have been concluded have also been discussed through this research.

The idea developed in the minds of a seventeen year old and the model residents within the which have been set as an example in the minds are creating a misleading example based on fantasy (Massoni, 47-65). Studying this research shows the hypothetical scope of jobs which the teens have developed in the existing business environment. The development in the study specifies the image that has been built in the eyes of the individuals. This is determined by the fantasy image in the minds of the teens and the image which they develop about the quality and the quantity of the jobs.

This is also related to the image of the power and position that is held by the individual citizens within the society. Work CitedMassoni, Kelley. "Modeling Work Occupational Messages in Seventeen Magazine." Gender & Society 18.1 (2004): 47-65.
