Triggering one of the most intrigue aspects of humankind, sexuality has today emerged as a widely debated topic. In various cultures and sociologic aspects, sexuality is expressed as well as experienced through beliefs, attitudes, practices, behaviors, relationships, and desires. Being a significant part of human life, certain laws are also observed as applicable in this context, which further attempts to examine the issue as moral or immoral. Contextually, sexuality is recognized to be influenced by several factors, which include psychological, economic, cultural, ethical, religious and biological elements. Accordingly, the concepts of sexuality are seemed to be diverse from the perspectives of different cultures (Boonstra, 2011).
There are different forms of sexuality which include premarital sexuality, extramarital sexuality, and homosexual orientation as well as behaviors. Premarital sexuality is identified as a negative aspect in most of the cultures even today as it often leads to unreliable birth control and unwanted pregnancies, segregating the individuals from the main routine stream of the society bound by its laws. Premarital sexuality is determined to be affecting the personal as well as social development of an individual substantially. On a positive note, premarital sex relations might have been prohibited in the societies so as to restrict health issues arising due to sexuality and maintain a health as well as coordinated structure (Darroch, Singh & Frost, 2001).
In numerous societies, it is identified that extramarital sex is permissive. Moreover, in certain societies, extramarital sexuality is accepted due to the established social conditions. Presently, it is noted that same-sex marriage in the US, in the UK, and in some other countries are offered with legal rights and opportunities.

The subject of gay marriage in the United States has caused a lot of controversy over recent years, and the country still seems deeply divided on the issue. Many gay people and liberals argue that it is not fair to exclude long term and loyal homosexual partners from the legal benefits and social esteem that marriage brings.
The author states that gay marriages should be legalized since same sex couples can prove to be better parents than opposite sex couples. He argues that the gender of parents has minor significance for children's psychological adjustment and social success. Family instability may take its toll on normal psychological development of children.
Though once viewed as strongly against the religious belief, moral values and ethics, and had been vehemently criticized by an overwhelming majority of the people at large all over the world, several western countries have allowed the practicing of the same provided both the parties to the contract exercise gay sexual union with free consent and without coercion or undue influence.
It has turned out to be the most socially divisive and ethically challengeable issue of the decade. The reason behind its controversial stature in society is that apart from upholding the right for freedom of choice and unconditional love, this issue paves the way for several alarming problems.
However, a few governments have already started formalizing same-sex marriages. The most important argument put forward by the proponents of the same-sex marriage is that denying this right amounts to denying universal human rights. However, gay marriage is not normal, for it violates the nature’s law as the tendency of homosexuality is only one among the many sexual deviations experienced in humans.
This argumentative essay is focused on different perspectives on this question. Currently, the New York State Senate and the law approved a right of gays for marriage. Therefore, it is possible to claim that gay marriage is promoted and legalized throughout the country in the course of time.
Conservatives and modernists are often the people engaged in such debates because of the clash of what people have been used to and the growing changes of highly technological era. However, concerns about the impact of tolerating the matter in many aspects of life should be seriously considered because it is actually the people who are creating the world they are to live.
