The Search of The ‘Criminal Man’ The Search of The ‘Criminal Man’ This chapter deals with a continuation of the content and consequences of the theory. In essence, it denotes the presence of crime and criminal activities in the society, at present and in the future. The rate and changes in criminal activities in the society are clearly written down by one of the renowned scholar known as Bennett (Ball, et al 2011). In her arguments, Bennett says that the rate of crime in the future is not predictable as the act changes with time.

In addition, she says that crime in mostly committed by the older generation in the society as compared to the young generation. Similarly, men have a higher percentage of participating in the crime as compared to women. None the less, most crimes revolve around murder of couples and homicides. In a general sense, criminological theory is not easily understood especially when it goes outside the social context (Ball, et al. 2011). In relation to spiritualism, criminal behavior appears to lie on absolute evil as the concept denotes a conflict between absolute good and evil.

Thus people who commit crimes are argued to be in possession of the evil and sinful demons. Two schools of thought in relation to criminal theory give the difference in conceptualising crime in the society. Positivist school of thought argues that crimes are determined by multiple factors. According to the classical school of thought, individual criminal are people who are capable of calculating the activities they intend to do at a certain level. In fact, philosophers argue that human beings are at liberty to do their within the conformity of hedonism.

Hence, the search continues for individuals involved in crime (Ball, et al 2011).References;Ball, R. et al. (2011).Criminological Theory: Context and Consequences. Thousand Oaks, Calif.: SAGE Publications.
