Dr. Schur administered Freud with doses of morphine on 21st and 22nd of September that caused Freud’s death on 23rd September 1939. Freud left the following legacy on different fields of psychology, science, philosophy and feminism (Barbara, 2009). According to Freud, human mind is a system which contains the ego, id plus super ego. He proved all these through several observations and theories based on clinical cases. Freud divided childhood into different five stages of psychosexual (kline, 2000). They include the following: If children stay long during any of these stages, incomplete development of personality may occur. Freud observed that adult personality get shaped with the way a child tries to gratify each stage’s impulses (Low, 2000).

He also elaborated why children always fall in love with the opposite sex parents and feel like they competing with the same sex parents. 2. Almost all Freud’s theories are difficult to measure and quantify since they only revolve around conscious and unconscious mind.
