The Medstar Health System on the other hand is a regional medical system and one of the largest in the United States. It is made up of several medical institutions, including several hospitals in Maryland and one in Washington D.C. In Baltimore, the system delivers services to residents of the north, south and east Baltimore residents. The Veteran Affairs Maryland Healthcare System mainly delivers healthcare through the military. St. Agnes Healthcare is also an integrated system that is affiliated with the Maryland Health Network and covers many off-site centers, serving at least three million residents of Maryland and areas of Washington. Finally, there is Lifebridge Health, a delivery system composed of five hospitals and their subsidiaries. It provides services to the residents of northwestern Baltimore as well as Randallstown and Pikesville areas. U.S Health Care System
The united state health care system has often been considered as the best health care system in the world. This is my position on the concept of status of the U.S health care system in relation to the book Delivering Healthcare in America.
The medical field requires specialist attention thus; any one handling it should be trustworthy because any mistakes can lead to loss of life or severe damages. Due to this a patient need to have trust to entrust his or life to the health provider. Lack of trust may lead to inaccessibility of health services; patients would rather stay at home than undergo doubtful care.
As more and more find employment, there will be opportunities for parts of the 45.7 million without health insurance to avail of a private health care insurance, given the fact that government Medicaid and the other benefits have become insufficient as a result of higher costs of medical services.
