Groups and Social Networks Task Introduction There is no single individual in the society who does not value the importance of company. It is through these channels that most individuals establish a healthy relationship in the societal setting. A more active society is one that engages all of its members in the developmental activities. Individuals form groups to share opinions and acquire information that may help them adjust to the challenges presented by the society especially the harsh economical crises.

The different age groups in the societal setting have distinct groups formed to solve various challenges presented by the society. The youth may form groups to tackle the issue of unemployment and find solutions to curb crime in the society. There may be groups formed to challenge relationship constraints and better societal setting. In all groups, the distinct feature that they present is collective participation of its members. Groups bring individuals together with common purposes to build stronger relations towards a common sentiment shared among societal individuals (Cannata, 2011).

The modern technology and the development of social networks and the internet have mainly led to the establishment of social groups where individuals participate on-line. This means that they share opinions without necessarily having physical connection with the participating forum. The main advantage that the internet networks possess is their dynamism and faster means of response. They are available to be accessed most of the time because the members that I may be sharing opinions with emanate from worldwide regions. The networks like Facebook bring individuals from across the world, and they can access the information of contribute to a topic concurrently.

The society has benefited from this development because individuals can conduct business transactions easily and acquire educational materials without inputting much effort (Haythornthwaite & Wellman, 2002). I have managed to talk to my friends across the continent and shared my opinions getting immediate feedback, an attribute that I could not access before the invention of Facebook. This has also minimized on insecurity because on meeting new individuals to socialize with, there may not be enough knowledge about their character.

Social networks across the internet offer safer conditions to air opinions because the speakers normally have no physical contact. The language chosen is not limited and freedom accorded to the group’s language mode. I have managed to express my opinions openly without considering any form of abuse or negligence because the listening population is massive, therefore, guaranteeing a definite response from at least a source. The other advantage that I have picked from using the internet social networks is their inclusion of variable languages and their flexibility (Haythornthwaite & Wellman, 2002).

I have managed to hold forums across town and in various nature settings by simply plugging into the internet. The internet groups offer other services like instant transfer of files and folders that may share events through photography. Facebook has allowed me to share music and exchange vital educational materials.ConclusionGroups have diversified to gain a more complex nature as compare to the rigid settings before technological era.
