The tendencies, some lives are wasted due to recklessness and negligence of other people. Some movies and other television programs incite the curiosity of others and thrill them to use cellular phones while on the road. Drivers who engage in this practice sometimes lose their focus on the road and their attention is diverted. Sometimes the argument on the phone seems to be heavy that the driver tends to lose his sanity causing accidents, and worst, death. I had seen many drivers almost causing accidents or did cause an accident being on the phone.

They never use it for emergency; most of them use it just to past the time while driving. When they drive they are too busy telling the latest gossip about what happen or when, or better yet arguing with a spouse about something which could have waited at home. When I am driving, I saw some people talking on the phone, they do not even notice me when they are going to change lane. It happens that this lady was so busy yapping on the phone that she did not even stop at the red light. She just kept on going without even seeing that she almost hit me.

I blew my horn and she just kept going on and yapping on the phone. Cell phones should only be used when you stop the car on the side of the road and then talk to the person, not while driving. Show some respect for other's right to live free from worries. A number of people do not mind the lives of others and they blindly practice this wrong act. Imagine the lives of children and young adolescents who may be victims of this malpractice. There are inevitable circumstances that people really need to talk while driving.

There are available technologies for that and there are safe places too. If that is the case, better use Bluetooth speaker phone where you have your hands, eyes, and your attention focused on the road. Too many accidents nowadays are caused by people talking over the cell phone and not minding their own business while driving. Some states are putting up laws on prohibiting cell phones while driving. I, for one, wish the whole of the United States would do that. It makes everyone feel safe and secure while on the road.
