?Topic Movie Review- An Inconvenient Truth Introduction The movie An inconvenient Truth” is a documentary film directed by David Guggenheim and is based on the election campaign by Al gore and his endeavor about global warming. The movie was launched upon the idea of producer Laurie David , who has witnessed the presentation of Al Gore , which coincide with the launching of the movie” The day after tomorrow”. The producer was so impressed by the campaign, she decided to bring forth the slide shows of the campaign in a documentary movie format. Laurie with the effort of Guggenheim made this movie a reality where in the film showcases about climate change and rejuvenating the environmental movement. The movie represents Al Gore, who is travelling along America to publish his documentary which talks about climate change crisis and related global warming threat. Al gore travel across America and presents the slide shows which is rich with graphs , charts and details that embarks for his selection campaign. He presents himself as the forthcoming President and encourages the public to take action against climate change and global warming. AL gore presents a scientifically sharp slide show of earth and some details which are more than impressive for a documentary of this kind. He also amalgamates his life story with that of the earth’s story. Al gore defines the environmental problems of the earth as critical and encourage individuals from school level to raise awareness against it.Here he scientifically and emotionally discuss the greenhouse effect and what kind of harm this can bring to the earth we live in. Analysis of the Movie The analysis of a movie take place from many angle and direction and carrying capacity of a movie is important. As this movie has absence of characters, direction capability on this basis is nil. The movie has picturization of earth from different angles in space and the way in which the ozone layer has been depleted due to global warming. This scenery amazes the audience at a great level and aspires the audience to adhere to their seats. The directional quality of the movie can be seen in different stills from the movie as the spaceship in space and the melting ice sheets of Antartica. The movie merges well the life history of Al Gore with that of climate changing disaster on earth. This enhances the carrying capacity of the movie and show cases well the environmental changes and personal experience of Al gore itself. The movie is strong in its message like the climate change and it’s negative effect on earth. The movie pass the message to the younger and older generation that earth is our asset and saving the planet is the foremost duty of its inhabitants. The movie also projects the effort of Al Gore in compiling the slide show and making it rich in information and statistics. However there could have been more information about the effect of global warming on the planet and its people. He could have added the ways in which the common men can contribute to the welfare of the planet. Communities and its reaction on the movie The impact of the movie on the communities were of startling nature as they were astounded by the effect of global warming and the greenhouse effect on earth. The movie showcased how greenhouse effect can damage the ozone layer and trap heat inside the earth’s atmosphere. Here the communities were impressed by the contribution of Al Gore to the earth’s protection and his thoughtfulness to the protection of nature. The movie shows some photo stills where in the melting of ice glaciers is shown in real sense created large impact on the minds and hearts of the audience. The information presented by the movie explain that the earth is on the verge of damage and steps need to be taken to build it up. The main message of the movie is to “ save the earth “ and to create an awareness in the mind of people around the wold. The movie also represents the way in which the human beings are connected to the earth and how they can bring positivity to the planet. Global warming is the central message and theme of the movie and president Al Gore shares the information with utmost care and alertness to the audience around the world, the calamities earth is going to face , if this natural threat is not taken into consideration. The communities are given information that the glaciers once melted can increase the sea level which threatened the people watching the movie on large scale. Outcomes and actions of the movie The movie created an impressive outcome on its audience and it was powerful enough for them to take a positive action on the same. The positive next step is to understand the real source of carbon emission and try to regularize it. Carbon emission mostly release through automobiles, and factories and people at all level should take action against emission and should jointly plan to use these mediums as less as possible for daily use. As the fossils are used they emit carbon and this trap heat inside the atmosphere, so the public awareness is necessary for its minimum use. The documentary film also throw light upon the fact that how precious our nature is and how much consideration we must give to it to keep ourselves and our planet safe. Apart from this, the public is alerted for quick action , which would delay the problems caused to the nature by the means of global warming. After watching this movie, the government officials as well as common men would be influenced to take initiative to cease carbon emission and diffuse global warming threat. The government will implement law in school and colleges to initialize programs and policies which encourage the new generation to work more towards eradicating global warming threat and come up with ideas and techniques to combat global warming issue. The movie will also definitely raise the awareness among politicians and scientist to look forwards, the ways in which the earth can be sustained and covered from more climatic threats. Conclusion The movie inconvenient truth is one with an inconvenient thought and experience for the audience. For the first time a nominee for the American presidency has come up with the idea of global warming and climate change with the revolutionary thought in his mind. Al gore during his election campaign launched some interesting points regarding global warming and greenhouse effect which motivated the director and producers to raise a movie on this theme. The director was impressed by the slide shows projected by Al Gore and this has allowed the producer to think much deeply about this issue and launch a documentary film about this. Even though, the movie has impressed the audience it was not completely a success in saving earth. When thinking from the perspective of movie producer, it was a commercial success in and around America. However, the movie could not positively and effectively pass on the right information to the right people at the right time. Here president al Gore has proved his concern for nature by providing in – depth detail about his research on global warming and presented photo stills of earth from space. However more of determination and thinking need to be applied in this scenario to bring forth any positive result in climate change and greenhouse gas emission. The encouragement, the audience get in this movie to save earth is to be flown in right direction for right results. Read More
