Posttraumatic stress disorder is one of the emotional disorders that come with terrifying experiences in life. It comes when one is used to some of the traumatic events in life, and an example, in this case, will be the nurses. In hospitals, they do take care of patients with varying degrees of illness. In this case, they do witness the patient die through pain, the patient cry, and the trauma that comes with it (Brewin, 2003). In this case, the nurses will empathize with the patient, which ultimately makes them have a psychological problem through witnessing the trauma. PTSD is thus one of the resultant effects of providing services in areas where there are traumatic experiences.
Those who are not directly involved in the traumatic issue will also develop it too because of the experiences that they have. Some of the people who are said to have suffered the disorder are those who were involved in the First and Second World War, the soldiers and the workers in the theater of war later developed the disorder with many of them opting to commit suicide following the horrific incidences that they witnessed in the war. The disorder though can be managed through a series of psychological repairs for the victims involved (Brewin, 2003).
In this line, the proposition by the topic given in this case is not logical since the effect of the disorder are real and can be witnessed in our daily lives. In the hospital environment as given in the above paragraph, it is always known that the nurses and the doctors do experience burnout and breakdown due to the effects of this disorder. The disorder is an independent occurrence owing to the traumatic situation that one witness and when one takes much time in the environment, they can develop trauma too (Moreland, 2010). This condition is thus not in any way related to anything that is concocted or framed for any advantage. The effects of this disorder have been seen in virtually all the places where traumatic experiences take precedence making it real and true.
The disorder can be looked into together with other emotional grounds like stress and burnout; these psychological problems come due to the exhaustion of the mind with real things that are not pleasant to the mind and the emotion. Following this happening in the mind and the emotions, it is possible to conclude that this disorder is also one that results following the state of the mind and that of the physical environment where one predominantly stays (Stevens, 2007). Posttraumatic disorder comes with very many salient characteristics that are manifested into the victims that it is impossible to deny the independence of the disorder (Moreland, 2010). In further explanation of the condition, it is true that we are products of our immediate environment; we succumb to the provision of our environment both emotionally and psychologically. This is what culminates in the development of the condition and it has been witnessed that it has adverse effects on physical well-being (Dickens, 2008).
It should also be noted that the condition is not only found in the hospital settings, it is not within the confines of the clinicians only but also has the same effects on other people who are found in areas that present the with the same traumatic circumstances. It should thus be seen as myopic any attempts to perceive only the condition as a conspiracy of the certain workplace in furthering the interest of their own. If anything, the condition has been developed for an elaborate plan on how to mitigate for it in the hospital setting, if this was their own creation, it would have not been given a remedy that is also working very effectively in restoring the psychological normalcy (Coleman, 2006).
In conclusion, we are aware of the several problems that present human beings with several challenges. Some of the challenges are so enormous that people opt to take their own lives through suicide missions. In this regard, there are specialized people who have been trained to deal with those who have low willpower, and fortunately, they have always been helped overcome their own peculiar problems. In this case, of the disorder, we should also come up with a strategy to contain its toll on the people rather than developing unfounded explanations to it leaving the people with the condition being devastated. Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is real and its effects should be keenly monitored by ensuring that mitigating measures are put into place to manage its adversity.
