In a current investigation, Americans citizens will go on experiencing disparities on health care because of the continuous joblessness rate. Consequently, it is significant for American government to come up with reforms that reduce costs to make health care inexpensive. The reforms should protect the rights of patients such as choosing the right doctors, hospitals and insurance plans. The factors discussed that contribute to health disparities in America are socioeconomic condition, gender, environmental status and racial and ethnic disparities.
Socioeconomic status Socioeconomic condition is the most perceived factor that causes disparity in the American Health care. Socioeconomic status is the ability of an individual in relation to the wealth he/she has or the influential power. In current statics, individuals with low socioeconomic condition in America access low levels of wellbeing and eminence health services. Moreover, these individuals have low education level and their incomes are inadequate for getting proper medical insurance coverage.
Conversely, American citizens with higher socioeconomic status are able to manage to access timely health services and perfect jobs that provide medical insurance as their loyalty to their employees. Interestingly, socioeconomic condition also varies in the different races in America, which is reflected in the health status. The black Americans and Hispanics are the races that are underprivileged and lack enough finances to access first-class health (Kosoko-Lasaki, Cook & O'Brien, 2009). For this reason, the health care disparity is majorly influenced by the differences in socioeconomic condition.
Ethnic and racial disparities American citizens come from different origins and races. For this reason, there are many disparities existing in the lives of the citizens especially in accessing efficient health care services. The situation is recognized as a critical social problem affecting the Americans. Hence, the government and the populace should work together in solving the problem (Kosoko-Lasaki, Cook & O'Brien, 2009). The few and undermined races receive inadequate health care thus making their lives at risk.
For a long time, the disparities in accessing proper health care are based on racial factors (Williams, 2007). The ethnic minority groups are rarely considered and access deprived medical services compared to the majority race groups in America. Furthermore, there are disparities in obtaining the insurance coverage concerned with health (Kosoko-Lasaki, Cook & O'Brien, 2009). The minority races find the process accessing the insurance coverage to be difficult, since they are discriminated by the medical officers.
An example is on the Hispanic Americans who according to research have less insurance coverage than white Americans. They do not access the high level insurance coverage that includes anticipatory and ambulatory concern that the majority ethnic and races access in the insurance coverage. The minority face the menace of having deprived health and getting the quality medical services they necessitate. The main factors that have played in causing health disparity in America include; biasness, discrimination, miscommunication, lack of trust and financial challenges, which small minority groups face because of their race and ethnic group (Williams, 2007).
The policy makers in America in charge of health of individuals of the minority groups should focus on some
