Download file to see previous pages... He had a strong believe that the president had to utilize all powers (Miller Center, n.d). Additionally, he believed that the government had a unique relationship with people and he constantly challenged the outstanding notions of individualism and limited government he saw the need of urgent reforms for the people of the United States. His government focused on government regulation, welfare legislation, and conservation movements. He focused on how to make the society more equitable and fair to all Americans (Miller Center, n.d). Additionally, his programs geared towards economic equitability to all Americans.
Moreover, TR regulated the government relationships with big businesses. He believed that for the safety of the general public big businesses had to be regulated. He did not challenge the status of the big business because he believed that they demonstrated economic progress of the country (Miller Center, n.d). Additionally, TR revolutionized the foreign affairs of the United States and had a strong believed that the United States had a global responsibility and the strong foreign policy of the States safeguard the interests of the United States.
TR also made major achievements in the stability of the Latin America region by overseeing the Panama Canal negotiations to cater for the interests of the United States. The canal provided a shortcut between the Pacific and the Atlantic, and this was of immense benefit to Americans (Mink & Randy, 2014). Additionally, his doctrine also prevented the establishment of foreign bases on Caribbean, and he had all the rights to intervene in any Latin America conflict (White House, n.d). He also intervened the Santo Domingo and Venezuela conflict to maintain peace and stability in the region.
