Electricity is an important form of energy in the country. However, it is the most misused form of energy. I will, therefore, begin by adopting positive behaviors that will promote electricity conservation. This will include switching off lights and electrical appliances that are not in use. Using modern electrical pieces of equipment such as energy-saving lighting system will also reduce consumption of energy in the country. I will also need to inform other people around me about the need for energy conservation.

This will involve adopting habits that would contribute to energy conservation. Using public transport instead of personal vehicles will reduce the amount of oil used in the country. Using modern vehicles that are fuel-efficient will also greatly reduce energy requirements in the country. Additionally, people will need to adopt alternative sources of energy that are environmentally friendly and sustainable. These include solar energy, wind energy, and biofuels. People will need to use solar water heaters instead of using electric water heaters.

Solar energy can also be used to generate alternative electricity. Lastly, I will endeavor to recycle useful materials and items and mind my shopping habits to avoid using what I do not necessarily need. This way, manufacturing will be less and hence less energy expended.
