Introduction

The human nature is surrounded by various illnesses that disturb the wellness of any particular individual regardless of the social, economic, political and religious status. People struggle with the conditions relying on the medical practitioners because they have relevant knowledge regarding the treatment and control of various diseases and conditions. For example, an individual might be suffering from skin cancer, which is a serious health condition that needs the serious attention of the medical personnel. Another person might be having an addiction to drugs that needs to be controlled either through medical assistance or counseling. Regardless of the fact that the medical conditions require well-trained and experienced medical officers to treat and control them, there is an authoritative healer who can heal such condition through faith and prayers.

The authoritative healer differs according to the various religions in the globe that have various beliefs and religious practices. There are three religions in the globe that are well-known, which include; Christianity, Islamic, and Hinduism. The concentration of the worshippers of these religions is highly dependent on the various continents in the world. God is the authoritative healer in all the religions, but there are some differences that are evident within their distinct beliefs. For example, Christianity believes on Jesus Christ as the savior, Mohamed for the Islamic society and Buddha for the case of Hinduism cult. Therefore, in this paper will provide an outline on how the healer’s authority is gained, maintained and exerted on Christianity, Islam and Hinduism.

Christianity

The healer’s authority in the Christianity can be gained through some steps, and it starts after an individual has accepted the God has the power to heal and without His help, the doctors’ work in vain. Individuals who wish to gain the power over the sicknesses from the authoritative healer are supposed to accept firstly that they are powerless, and they cannot personally manage their lives. This is evident from The Bible, whereby in Roman 7:18 states that a man has the desires to perform the good deeds, but it is not easy without the assistance of God. Humans are supposed to understand that a greater power has the capability of restoring their sanity and maintain their lives. Through this step, the willing individuals will be in a position to give the life to the almighty controller and make a final decision on providing an ever bit of their lives with the full care of God according to their personal understanding (Timmons 1152-1164).

The individuals who have decided to give their lives to the Lord through Jesus Christ, they will have to scrutinize their behaviors to identify if their practices are pleasing the eyes of God. This argument is based on the Bible verse that states that people should examine and test their ways before they return to their God, who is the author of the universe and all that dwells in the earth and heaven. After that, confession follows from the individuals and pray for each other so that they can be healed by the blood of Jesus, who died on the cross for the sins of human nature (Davies 346-346). Therefore, God removes all the wrong deeds after the compliance of the sinner on the sinful nature of the human beings. The shortcomings and defects of the character are removed to after the sinners are humbled before God. A person cannot live without hurting other people in any way, and it is through the Christian transformation process, where the individuals identify and amends to the people they had harmed to cleanse their hearts so that they can live a righteous life.

After the repentance and the acceptance of the committed sins, individuals continually performs personal inventory and in cases when wrong deeds are performed, they admit and repent to the Lord and seek for the holy spirit to provide guidance. The contact and the relationship between the Christians and God in maintained through prayers made via Jesus Christ and reading the word found in the Bible. Christians always pray to get more understanding of what God requires and whenever they fall in sin, they are spiritually nourished and restored by their fellows who are still following the ways of God. The favor gained by the Christians is not selfish, and they are ordained to provide the good news to other people who are still suffering in sin. Through the outlined process of acquiring Christianity, individuals can obtain the healer’s authority that enables them to conquer the earthly problems and medical conditions (Davies 346-346).

Islam

Individuals will have the capability to access full healing from Allah if they transformed to Islam or have been born in the cult, thus accepting and believing in Allah as the only God, who is the creator and almighty. There should be no any other individual to be believed as a mediator between Allah and the Islamic religion; rather Muhammad is believed to be the last prophet who in the earth and no one will come again to make a replacement. Islam considers itself as perfect of being and no other way human being came into existence. Allah as referred as the Islamic, who is the same God worshiped by Christian. It is also believed that Jesus was a Muslim, thus justifying the claim that Islam is the original nature of human existence. These are some of the basics that an individual is supposed to understand and accept as a start for acquiring the Islamic belief.

The second step for an individual to gain the Islamic belief is to read the Quran, which is the central reference for the law governing the religion. This book is said to be an incorporation of the previous Jewish and Christian scriptures, thus having all the required information and guidelines for an individual towards the kingdom of God. There other scriptures in the Islamic religion that needs to be read and they include the accounts of Muhammad, the saying and finally the Hadith (Davies 346-346). The combination of these scriptures enables an individual to have an understanding of the law, stories and teaching that create the Islamic believe. The religious leaders of the Islamic state are the Imams, and an individual should talk to them after completing the basic step outlined above. They provide advice based on the readiness of an individual to devote their life to Islam. After an individual has made the decision to become a Muslim, Shahada is recited, which is a short declaration statement of the faith, which testifies that there is no other God except Allah. This declaration should be memorized with understanding and sincerity, and afterward, a person is required to live according to the principles of Muhammad.

For a legal transformation into the Islamic cult, there is a need for witnesses who make a warm welcome into the religion. Immediately after transforming, the face is washed, or a shower is taken as a form of purification (Davies 346-346). The next step is to stop live according to the Islamic religious life, whereby a prayer is offered and attending the mosque is relevant as an assistant. The prayers help in creating a strong religious relationship, forgiveness and success in life with good judgment after performing the duties given by Allah. Observing all the requirements of the Islamic religion, an individual acquires the authoritative healing from Allah.

Hinduism

Hinduism requires an individual to study the basic concepts of the religion, which includes the Dharma, Karma, Trimurti, reincarnation, Chakras and the Supreme Being. The Hinduism embraces pluralism that includes multiple practices of traditions and activities. Learning about the main denominations will also be important for the people who wish to be gain the Hindu believes. These denominations include the Shaivism, Shaktism, Vaishnavism and Smartism (Ruback, Kohli and Pandey 375-385). The next step is to read the sacred texts of Hinduism, which were written in different times of the Hindu history. The texts include the Bhagavad Gita, Vedas, Upanishads, and Puranas. Ganesha, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and Lakshmi are some of the Hindu Deities that in individuals wishing to be Hindu should understand.

After understanding all the important information about Hinduism, that particular person will be ready to transform into the religion. The conversion requires a person to join a Hindu community, change from the previous religious beliefs, terminate the relationship between the previous mentors and adopt a Hindu name. The Hindu name is given in a traditional ceremony called a name Karan sanskara (Pearson 100-113). The convert publicly announces their conversion to the society within three days. After all these steps, the individual is welcomed into the cult in a ceremony and starts to practice Hinduism through worshiping the gods through puja. A full believer in Hinduism has the power to acquire healing from the gods after worshipping and making prayers for their desires.

All the three religions believe in the existence of God, who is the creator of the earth.
