Idol and Grace by Orlando O. Espin: Summary The process by which faith of Christians is passed from one generation to the other is called Traditioning. In the book “Idol and Grace”, Orlando focuses on the Jewish religion stressing that the genesis of world transformation, which was being practiced by the Jews. These Jews were living in a flat standard, but Gods compassion to the humankind set a basis for the modern Christianity. However, doctrines somewhat had some misleading norms in that their laws were differentiating from what Jesus brought. They resorted to the faith that they had been induced by the first Christians of which the other or I one-way was wrong. Traditioning in the Christianity was not the way to go because it was not playing and acting according to the gospel doctrine. Core faith to Christianity depends in the believe that Jesus was the right was not the Jews way that was traditional. The attitude and pressure to stick to the traditions of the Jews gave wrong definition and direction of the indented purpose. Jews wanted to preach and teach the gospel their way, of they, had a little knowledge that Christianity and Traditioning have to go separate ways. Jews were using Moses’ law of they were misinterpreting. They referred themselves as custodians of the doctrines, but they were not playing the Christianity in Traditioning (Silber). From this, it is evident that Jews had strong faith in what they believed because even when Jesus came they still opposed claiming that He was misleading the other Jews. Jesus is stating that He was indeed the send Messiah was an abomination to Jews because of their little knowledge to Christianity. Opposition to the gospel message by Jews was a prophesied factor of it had to pass. His people claiming that He was just the son of the peasant Joseph openly rejected Jesus Christ. In their belief and faith, they were hoping that the said Messiah would emanate from a wealthy family. Jesus’ poor background made them the type of gospel He will preach and whom to teach to because most of the Jews were rich, and they did not expect to hear from a poor young boy. Jesus was right. Jesus this demonstrated this in His early years at the age of 12 when He challenged them in the temple (Silber). The gospel Jesus was preaching was a true gospel, but the Jews were heavily opposing every step he was making claiming that he is teaching against the Jewish law. Intermingling with people while preaching the gospel was a taboo the Jews because according to them that are interacting with the sinners, but Jesus told them He came because of those sinners. According the Jews, a teacher of the law was considered pure. The way was performing miracles, preaching against traditioning; the many people followed Him was welcomed by the Jews, until they plotted to kill Him (Orlando). People who were campaigning for the crucifixion of Jesus were the top Jewish religious leaders were claiming that Jesus has led many to the wrong religion. Early Christianity had many barriers and opposes, the faithful traditions based their faith strongly to the traditional norms although they had knowledge of the existence of God. Jesus is way truth and life, and His life was a practical example to all Christians. As it evident in most spiritual books, many ancient and later prophets to a son of God prophesied the coming of Jesus. Despite the poor background, Jesus did the role that was sent by His Father in delivering the sinners an oppositional wave from the other Jewish leader who never the gospel in depth. Today’s Christianity is the emulation of what Jesus did, and the same humility is being passed generation to generation. In the present generation there area\ those still opposing the gospel and being firmly faithful to the traditional believes that Christians are leading many to the wrong conceptual direction. Devil worshipers, Freemasonic powers, Illuminati, demonic cults, and other satanic sacrifices are the agents that oppose the present gospel. Present days are the most dangerous generation because even antichrist churches are all over posing a dangerous threat the faithful followers in that there is no clear visible indication to differentiate wrong denominations (Orlando). In most prominent learning institutions, agents of this doom have denominated having a goal of winning many their cults, the revelation by Orlando to be a professor of semantic in a leading University of Sa Diego. Another present challenge that has been posed to Christianity is the administers of the gospel. Many con pastors have been witnessed of late using Gods in their material through administering of fake miracles and prompting the followers to plant “seed” in order to receive more miracles and blessing. Because of this, many people have lost hope with Christianity thinking that the “shepherds” are stealing from the “flock” (Silber). Con pastors is another threat to the real gospel. Economical constrains poverty has led many to be used as this agent of opposing the right gospel. Globally, gospel and Christianity has spread widely due to the promise given to us by Jesus Christ that He will come and raise the faithful and those who have suffered and followed the spiritual ways. As it evident in most spiritual books, many ancient and later prophets to a son of God prophesied the coming of Jesus.
