Men learn of God and respond to Him in the context of their whole lives as personal, social beings because of the activity of the Christian community. Thesis Mission theology occupies a central role in religious teaching and supported by the main dogmas and principles of theology.

The main texts Genesis 12, Exodus 9 and 19, Numbers 14, several parts in Deuteronomy, Joshua, 1 Samuel, 1 King, 1 Chronicle, Psalm, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Micah, Habbakuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. Jonah's story is considered a missionary book of the Old Testament1. Christians have so understood their role. Jesus' understanding of his role was that of a missionary. When the disciples wanted him to settle for a while in one village, he insisted that he go on to preach in other places. His mission carried him not only to his own people but among Gentiles as well. He sent out his disciples, two by two, in the same sort of activity. After his resurrection, the commission was broadened to include not just the local region but the whole world, and early converts such as St. Stephen and Ms friends accepted this wider mission2. The Church since the time of Jesus himself has been essentially missionary. The history of Christian missions is heroic reading from the days of the Apostles through those of Patrick in Ireland and Boniface who cut down the Teutons sacred oak, to the present day. In the New Testament, the main texts are a part of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, 1 Thessalonians, Hebrews, 2 Peter, 1 John and Revelation. The point critics make now is that this was no unusual development but the fulfillment of the purpose of God in Christ in creating the Church. It could not have been otherwise if the Christian community were to be true to its Lord3.

One of the most important traditional motivations, and still effective with more conservative groups, is the desire to "save souls."  ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

The Nature of God

... on its own. Apparently, it is openly seen that religion should not be mixed with other aspects in the world. This can be explained from the ancient prophets that were instated to explain the nature of God. The nature of God does not allow mixing religion with other aspects of the world as they are likely to affect religion. As such, religion should be left to exist on its own (Hitler, Trevor-Roper and Weinberg 245). This will enhance the growth of religion, which will bring better understanding in concerns to the nature of God. Hitler continues to state that in the long run, the two will never exist at the same time. National Socialism is a different aspect that will never exist in religion. ...?Mesgana Desta Triene Glover EN101/A, Summer1 06/10 Men’s Nature Both men and women were created differently, although some behaviors are acquired, it is believed that men are naturally wired to do certain things or engage in certain behaviors. It is wrong to generalize men or put them in the same category but some behaviors are typically masculine, these are just a few of those characters that are more visible among men. Naturally, men are risk takers, at least that is what everyone says, and the truth of the matter is that most men are risk takers, especially in comparison to women. The word 'God' and its meanings

... The Word ‘God’ and Its Meanings In the dictionary, ‘God’ is generally referred to as “A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe.” This denotative meaning further states that God is “A being of supernatural powers or attributes” and “the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions” (Farlex). Apparently, based on this definition alone, God emerges to be a Supreme One whose unity constantly dwells in the absolutism of character that occurs to possess all the ideal traits of perfection. It may as well be inferred herein that since God can be perceived to bear the ultimate potential of creation and of knowledge in all, God’s might and intellectual capacity must be far...

Nature at its best

...A POINT OF VIEW ESSAY (Nature at its best and worst) of (affiliation) Location of NATURE ATITS BEST The sea is perfectly calm that early morning when I first strolled on the beach. There was a mild breeze and the waves were smooth flowing in the sense these were not very high nor in any way threatening to overwhelm the rocks on the far-end portion of the beach. Some small birds are flying overhead and seemed to be enjoying the fine weather, taking all their leisurely time to catch the fishes they want for food, a rare occurrence in this part of the world, so to speak in an admiring way as the sea in our locality is not very cooperative at times. The sun is already at mid-horizon and its rays were reflected on the tiny waves taking...
