Extract of sample "What I Learned about Hinduism"

I learned that Hinduism is based on the Bhagavad-Gita just like the Bible to the Christians. It is a part of the Mahabharata and reveals a scripture from the viewpoint of the Hindus. The central core of the Bhagavad-Gita is the conversation between Lord Krishna, the teacher of the Bhavad Gita, and the Pandava prince Arjuna before the Kurukshetra War commenced. The series of Lord Krishna’s explanation of his duties as a warrior and the ways where he can elevate his consciousness to the level of Krishna made the Bhavad Gita a structured theology for the Hindus just like the Bible to the Christians. These explanations became “a way of life” to achieve enlightenment that influenced modern society all over the world that words like karma, guru, dharma became part of our modern vocabulary.
