The lord appears in his dream and he is sent back to Israel as a God’s messenger7. This particular action directly creates a character profile that portrays Elijah as chosen person by God. The characters direct speech and dialogues are also highlighted. Additionally, the narrator also pit across Elijah’s thoughts and imaginative pictures. This makes it easier for the reader to understand the purpose of the character in the narration as well as the plot device in the narration. Other characters in the piece are highlighted as supporters on the main character as their thoughts and direct speech are not highlighted. The geographical setting of the narration is strategically at different places based on the plot of each instant. For instance, the desert setting in the narration is effective since it portrays the only place one could hide in case of danger in regards to the time setting of the narration. The cultural context of the literature piece is based on religion and beliefs. The cultural context is focused on the religious beliefs and Christian teachings. This religious context is effectively enhanced by the inclusion of the interaction between a prophet and the Lord which the narrator effectively highlights. The main interpretive problem in this narration is the based on the timeline used in the plot of the literature piece. Between the commencement of the plot and the end of the plot, the narrator highlights many activities without specifically pointing out different timelines in which they events occur. As a reader, the interpretation of the timeline should be easily explained. For instance, the narrator would have included specific days that Elijah used to travel to the desert and for how long they stayed in the desert. This would have made it simpler for the reader to understand and create an imaginative picture of the same. However, a reader should be able to develop an appropriate timeline in a narrative based on the events highlighted and their imaginative abilities8. As a reader one should understand the context of the narrative which would make it easier to come up with appropriate conclusions to a narration.
