Child disciplinary program Name Institutional Affiliation Introduction Child disciplinary program aims at equipping a child with learning skills through play with regards to research and philosophy like the one for Jean Piaget. This philosophy says that play meets the child’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs. In fact, the children’s curiosity and imaginations naturally induce learning in case it is unfettered. Learning through play as described in the early child education can give a child an opportunity to develop cognitive skills. This enables the children to learn more sufficiently and acquire more knowledge by engaging in activities like dramatic plays, social games, and art. Various early childhood education scholars suggest that playing opportunities help children to develop some specific child areas of development; however, the majority of children shall develop several areas. Therefore, it is imperative for the practitioners of child disciplinary programs to promote the children's development play through the use of various kinds of play most likely every day. Moreover, giving children an opportunity of getting snacks can help them to develop mathematics skills, leadership and communication skills. In fact, the most significant guidelines for creating a played–based child disciplinary program may comprise of giving them safe space, correct supervision and culturally aware. Only managers of an early childhood center who are knowledgeable concerning the early years foundation should be given the responsibility of overlooking the child disciplinary program. These early childhood managers should work very hard towards setting the standards of making children greater and respectable members of the society. As the newly appointed manager of an early childhood center with approximately 40 3-5-year-olds enrolled children, during the first meeting with staff, I observed many problems with discipline at the center. Among the challenges the center experiences include noisy and rowdy atmosphere evidently instigated by the children, they fail to follow teachers’ instructions and to make it worse is that there is a number of evidence of conflict among the children. The above problems in the early childhood education centers can have negative impacts on the children’s welfare. In fact, poor quality of early childhood education and care for children can significantly lead to greater levels of anxiety and stress among the children and the teachers, thus affecting the relations amid the children and the teachers negatively. Apparently, noisy, rowdy and conflicts among children can lead to the following if not surpass in time (Baker, Gruber and Milligan 2008). First, the children can develop the insufficient understanding with regards to the goals and objectives of the Child disciplinary program center. Second, lack of collaboration can take place between the children and the teachers with regard to children’s assessment and learning. Third, the teachers cannot be able to consistently assess the children in case they are indiscipline since some of them shall be noisy, some truanting and others sneaking out of the center at their will. Fourth, indiscipline among the children can result in only a few children having the knowledge of the purpose they are at the center making it very difficult to assess them. Fifth, the children can sometimes get partly involved in the Child disciplinary program activities which make it very difficult to supervise their academic, social, emotional and physical progress. Sixth, noisy and rowdy students are not able to get full assessments, thus leading to poor performance. Last, indiscipline among the children of early childhood care can result in confusion to the teachers leading to the lack of strategies and systems to support assessment practice. As the newly appointed manager of the early childhood center, my context of childcare to this center shall include inclusion which comprises the socioeconomic status of the area, staffing, and career child ratios. The social economical inclusion describes how the center needs to be given a full care with regards to equipping the center with teaching facilities teaching necessities and sufficient teachers to enable the center performs greatly in terms of giving the students sufficient education. This social-economic and staffing of teachers if undertakes properly shall be very positive in for both the children and the teachers, therefore helping the child care play in achieving its core mandates successfully. With regards to cultural context, the newly appointed manager of an early childhood center shall develop an appropriate developmental practice by using the knowledge about child development to create a program that ca suitably is of help to children. That program shall comprise of the following when creating the curriculum and planning activities at the center (Barnett 2002). Age appropriateness This shall be achieved through the use of information concerning the development of children within particular age span in planning for their learning experiences and environment practices. Individual appropriateness It is also good to understand that each child is unique with regards to his/her behavioral and cultural development. The cultural aspects of children include languages, clothing, and individual differences.  Child-guided and teacher-guided experiences This shall help us to give every child an opportunity of choosing the cultural activities like dances, music and sporting the center provides to enable the children to enrich their cultures.  Cultural and social responsiveness The center shall respect the social and cultural context in which children live by providing them with sufficient cultural and social fitness (Schultz 2004).  Play The center shall support children’s play as a way of encouraging them to learn. Behaviorism is learning theory that concentrates on child observable behaviors. The theory is categorized into two areas which are classic and behavio0uria/operant. The most known one is the operant which concerns with the learning of reward of what behaviors desire. B.F. Skinner used a lot of time researching on operant conditioning theory by studying animals, and he established that behavior is learned response. The classical conditioning is said to by Skinner to be a natural reflex to stimuli, and he said that in case a child feels apprehension at the thought of taking an examination, then he/she shows a classic conditioning. With regards to rewarding behavior, Skinner suggests that incentives to children seem to be reaping positive behaviors among children and the center shall consider this in the process of applying for this theory t help the children. The center shall resort to offering rewards as Skinner suggests in this theory with the aim of encouraging the children to perform well in their next tests. For example, promising the toy in case, they perform well. The children who are ever complaining in the class shall be promised tasty treat to help them stop doing that. Consequently, by doing this shall mean that the center is ready to reward both positive and negative behaviors which shall send a confusing message to the children making them learn by their behaviors that they can receive the same outcomes. In the process of modifying behavior among the children, the school management being lead by the new manager shall work hard to model positive behaviors with the aim of encouraging the same behaviors from the center’s children along with not providing them necessary incentives. The good behavior o9f the children shall also encourage the center’s teachers to offer a good job to the children which shall, in turn, raise the children’s psych, however, according to Skinner this does offer them necessary incentive to continue the behavior (Pembroke 2017). The established needs and strengths of each child How would the children needs be responded to with regards to the actions or services that they should be provided The frequency and length of service the children needs to get: e.g. hours per week The children teachers responsible The date this plan Service will kick off The planned results for this childcare plan progress to be achieved by next review or other specified dates for this plan The children would like to develop their play skills regularly. The children sessions for play worker at the center 1 hour every week The children 10.04.2017 The children shall will feel more confident in playing with others as this Will be able to structure their using different materials. The child care plan above shall help the center in helping the children drop their ill behaviors of being rowdy, noisy and fighting to each other. The approaches clearly recorded in the plan shall help the center’s children by informing their views. The new manager in conjunction with other center’s teachers shall consult widely with regards to the plan and views as recorded in the plan above. In fact, all the parties that are concerned with the center's welfare of children care shall have to sign this completed plan. This plan is related to the behavioral learning theory of Skinner since puts the children’s welfare in consideration. the plan strives to assess the child physical, emotional and socio-economical welfare just like the behavioral learning theory of Skinner puts the above into consideration. In stating the evidence base for the above plan, the paper reviews the two articles which the Wall Street Journal and the Journal.ie. The former article talks about the Donald Trump Proposal over the Child-Care while the later talks about the need for better childcare in order to get better working terms. The journalists Janet Hook and Richard Rubin ask the impact of Donald Trump’s childcare plan while in the office as the president of the United States of America. Sinead Pembroke also asks in his research “How much do we know about the working conditions of the early years’ educators who look after and teach our pre-school children?” the researchers of the two articles tested their hypotheses in the following ways (Hook and Rubin 2016). Stating the hypotheses The researchers of the first article, Janet Hook, and Richard Rubin, assumed that the increment of subsidies to the child care programs by Donald Trump shall help a lot in promoting the child care plans in the United States of America. However, Sinead Pembroke, in his research made a hypothesis that better working conditions in promoting child care result into better conditions of the job. Formulation of the analysis plan This was the second stage the researchers use to describe their research hypotheses, and it was characterized by the use of sample data in order to accept or reject their null hypotheses. This was by specifying the significance levels which were equal to 0.01, 0.05, or 0.10; though they used any value between 0 and 1. Moreover, the researcher tested the study methods which involved a test and sampling distribution they used to collect their data. The computed data that the researchers used showed statistical probabilities that were less than the significance levels. Based on the sample data the researchers collected, Janet Hook and Richard Rubin found out that subsidy would help the child care programs in U.S as preempted by Donald Trump while Sinead Pembroke established that promoting good child care would result in better working conditions. The implications of these findings for my child care plan are that the two researchers failed to look at child care in terms emotional, physical ad socio-economical perspectives but their studies were purely based on the socio-economical perspectives only.
