Critical analysis of homosexuality and religious pluralism The belief or options to consider one religion or one faith as the perfect and destined means to receiving and getting to know God. Homosexuality and the catholic religion shows how the pope before and the current one differ on the perfect procedure of seeing God. Setting our focus on Christianity, we see a number of factors considered when the analysis is expected. The religious stand on most religious bodies is often a decade-long succession of factual evidence passed over from one lineage to another under the same religion. In the video we see Pope Francis being expected to give out his stand on the grounds on which the Catholic Church has on gays and homosexuality; his opinion in this case being the stand that the worldwide Catholic Church often bases their beliefs on. Pluralism in this case cannot be defined and accepted as judged based on religious grounds but rather of the community understating of Heaven and God. The issue at stake in the video is why and how the homosexual, which in this case is considered as sin, would be globally accepted and allowed to change by the society and religious community in general. First of all the pope has the mandate to ensure that he walks his words and lives whet he says. The Catholic Church has been dormant for over a decade with every notion by the Vatican being taken heavily amongst its faithful. Like in many reading, we see the pope choosing to judge not the homosexuals. This is expected of him, by the Catholic Church, the previous pope knew what was expected but responded to it as a new matter; that was at the time very heated to the global community. Currently, gays are marrying even in the Catholic Church. As the video claims, the church has over the past few years been subjected to critics that have over time affected the church and its beliefs. Presently , the gay concept would not only mean that the present pope would share opposing opinions if he disagreed with the previous one, but would also show how different the two men where and their contrasting variation would make for a better discussion topic something the church is not prepared to deal with. Pope Francis sought refuge in his teaching and as the Bible, which the Church keenly adheres to states, one should not judge another, for the same judgment would be incurred by him, the same measure he uses will also be laid upon him (Mathew, 7:1-2). As a virtuous man, Pope Francis sought to leave the ground settled by not evoking any suggestions and leniency pertaining to the topic. Christianity in this sense will look and respond to its teaching in the most humanly way possible. Pope Francis, idealistic decision was not primarily without doubt, he as a man is sure to have his heartfelt stand on the matter, he would probably considered not saying it out-loud as opposed to the previous pope; having the responsibility to set boundaries and restrictions that will make a difference in one person life; that makes every word as lethal as a gun. If the church and the Christian religion, in general, shall keep out all the homosexuals from its midst then they should also keep out the sinners, and thieves, the liars, the convicts and murderers, the phonicators, and the adulterers; for in the same eyes they view sin they should equally be liable for forgiveness as do their teaching claims. A sinner will come to the Lord and be forgiven without stating his alleged crime or sin he will face the father and be forgiven. Further analysis of the case reveals a stand where the hopeful believe that if a man will not have the strength to forgive another, then the heavenly father will not have the strength to show mercy to him; whereas, a man who easily forgives and makes peace with his foes, the Lord God shall use a similar pattern of advocacy towards his sins. A religion is a rigid understanding and the epitome for all Christian hopeful. In this case, we see an instance where it would be considered a sham if it left and swayed by peoples whim and lack of conformity. A stand on the basis of the Bible should allow for an agreed upon stand on the matter. Responding to homosexuality should be no different from responding to thieves and murderers. If the society allows and sees them fit to rejoins society them. The same though should be advocated for them. One fails to see the need for drastic action to gay people, bearing in mind Christianity and more so the Catholic church being the most vocal institution on the matter; pointing out how useful and active the same sex couples might be in the church. Same-sex marriage and gay children are different things and factors to consider according to the popes decision. A family with a gay child should be ready to support the child whereas the am church has contrasting though to a gay marriage. A lot of varying concept will be unveiled from the ideas of the church and society in general; the only truth in the matter will not only be hard to find, but a matter the current pope claims that is beyond his judgment. The conflict in the matter is seen as a written devotion of God to man and how he has designed him to functions. According to the Roman church and Christianity in general, a gay union is “imperfect” and states that acting on biblically written facts, it would not be wise to judge the act on a similar footing as the matrimony of man and woman. A man is bound in marriage and to God to do his duty to a woman. The absence of his desired intent to another man fails to give or support the act in the Christian beliefs. Through this, the debate and discussion on the matter are bound to make the Catholic Church support or rule out gay and homosexuality to its faithful. The church recent report seems to drive the community into the written law of gradualness, in which the distinctions between states of grace state of sin and attenuating circumstances. Although a final report remains yet to be reviewed, both the liberal and the otherwise conservative approach on synod report. Conclusion In conclusion, the issue with the Roman Catholic Church on homosexual as accepted by its faithful is no different from other religions, for they have denounced it in the past but as acceptance to modern chance is being seen. The current pope’s remarks make it a crack in the tip of the ice berg. Faced with a hefty decision-making time when its ideas and opinions pertaining to the case in questions are somewhat criticized even by the faithful. Pope Francis’s comparison to his predecessor Pope Benedict shows a difference of thought and stand. Gay marriage should be allowed as every individual has a capacity to contribute to Christianity and at the same time every gay person is sinning and should be barred from getting acquitted to the Roman church. This two varying opinions from the tow popes show how the church had disagreed o has and is yet to come to a stand on gay marriage and homosexuality in general. The Catholic religion expects people to trust believe in their leadership and guidance, such a stand allows for doubt and uncertainty on the matter. Work Cited "Pope Francis: Who Am I to Judge Gays?"
