Disorders of Childhood and Cognitive Disorders [Pick the Childhood is a complicated stage of a person’s life as their mind and body bothare in the development process. If for some reasons, the brain of a person is not fully developed, then disorders will occur. On its own, it might be quite difficult to deduce which disorder a child might possibly have because of their inability to explain fully. However, by studying the various components of the various disorders and analyzing the symptoms in the child, doctors can draw a conclusion and start treatment.

Continuous interaction between biology and experience shapes human development. The biological factors of childhood disorders relate to the genes, cells and molecule. For example, hormonal deficiencies and excesses can cause abnormal development. Schizophrenia is a good example of how biological symptoms cause problems. If the child’s brain is not developed due to any problem in his hormones, then cognitive development will slow down due to which the child will not behave in the same manner as other children of their age group do.

Common cognitive problems include reading disorders and autism.Emotions are the adaptive response of our body so they move us to act in a particular manner. Common emotions include joy, happiness, anger, disgust. For example, if a child is feeling anger then this will be eminent in his or her actions. If the child persists to feel an emotion regularly then this will become a part of his behavior and if the behavior is negative, then the probability of it being a disorder is high. This is why behavior and emotions are found usually together in a person.

Common disorders in children caused by emotions and behavior include depression, anxiety, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and ADD. If the disorders are diagnosed in early stages, then treatment is possible. Parents should not think that their child is inept because of them. Instead they should be supportive and should get consult doctors for the wellbeing of their child (Passer and Smith, 2011).BibliographyPasser, M. W., & Smith, R. E.
