Empirical Study of Terrorism Empirical Study of Terrorism Terrorism, in different parts of the world, arises due to a number of reasons. Some may insinuate that what people expect and what they actually receive may actually be a reason why people engage in terrorism acts. This may be the main reason why domestic and international terrorist exist. They are there to make or put across a point that they are missing something, and even if they do have it, it may not be enough. Studies indicate that a high number of factors attribute to the fact that terrorism will always exist (Horgan& Braddock, 2011).

Factors such as unemployment, education, population size, and beliefs are among the top factors that indicate that terrorism is anoccurrence that is here to stay. It is my opinion that terrorism can be studied, and it is as a result of the above factors that this is made possible. Studies can also be done to examine the extent of terrorism. These may fall under psychological examination of people possibly linked to terrorist groups.Belief, in some regions, may be a defining factor when it comes to the reaction that most people have when they feel deprived.

It is possible to determine how they feel and possibly, how they may react when this happens. It is crucial, however, to note that some of these factors can only work if they go hand in hand (Horgan& Braddock, 2011). Education alone, and in particular higher education, may not be reason for people to become politically violent. These factors may go hand in hand, for example; religion and cultural beliefs. These may be fundamental factors to consider when studying terrorism, and why it may be rife in some areas and not others.
