Coleman and Glenn bring into the Children and Divorce debate a more updated and authoritative approach when examining this topic. I particularly selected this article given this unique institutional dimension in bringing the aspect of research review of international literature towards assessing the impacts that relationship breakdown of parents have on children and the associated factors that offer support in case such happens. Tailored in a research question approach, Coleman and Glenn combine their institutional experience with relevant research articles presented on the topic. In the end, Coleman and Glenn offer practical policy and practice examples that could be emulated as one of the many approaches in supporting their arguments.

Co-authored by other reliable and authoritative subject specialists, Bjarnson combines the expertise of other child development perspectives in bringing to reality his assumptions. However, the article cannot be globally reliable as the study only samples 36 western, industrialized countries with a sampled population estimated at 184,496. I mostly preferred this article by Andrea Rigg and Jan Pryor shifts as it brings into this discussion a new perspective of children concerning their opinions about families and divorce. As members of the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, the authors provide a socially biased paper that targeted only 111 New Zealand children from different family structures and cultures. The article makes a deliberate attempt in defining the concept of family within varying cultural backgrounds with the use of other published sources mentioned quite often in crediting their sources of information. However, the study seemed to be concerned with girls given their high inclusion in the study at 58% as opposed to boys at 42% with only six schools participating.
