The main reason that john is confronted at the workplace is due to failing to report to work due to alcoholism. (Woodworth, Marquis, 1947) The condition of john is very delicate since he is already and addict of the drugs. John requires thorough insight on his condition and the problems that are likely to arise if he does not abandon the behavior. There will be alcohol at the party, and this will be a key influence of john’s behavior.

John should be committed to conceptualize all the training so that the application will be easy to him and reduce strain.

After john has understood the entire process, he should follow al the instructions to the letter. This will enable him to develop continuous improvement of his condition and make the necessary changes when there are deviations detected. The skill acquired will require maintenance so that there is no point of return to the drugs. John should keep on visiting the therapist until a point where the therapist is fully satisfied with the progress. After john has fully recovered, there should be a continuous assessment of his condition so as to ascertain if there are any deviations from the expected code of conduct.
