Extract of sample "Access to Health Care"

Poor people usually do not have enough awareness of available health care facilities. They are somewhat less educated as compared to rich people and have little awareness of health promotion. “The purpose of health promotion is to facilitate wellbeing and improve quality of life” (Barkway 251). However, poor people are hardly able to improve their lives because of little or no awareness of health promotion.

The third reason is related to health care insurance. Rich people have enough money to cover themselves under health insurance whereas poor people cannot even think about it. Health insurance ensures access to different sorts of health care facilities to the people who have it. Poor people usually do not have any health insurance so they need to pay for all health care facilities on their own, which is very difficult for them. Therefore, I would say that rich people really have adequate access to health care facilities as compared to poor or disadvantaged people. Read More
