It affects the brain and the nervous system which further result in paralysis of human body. In this case Ms. A is the sufferer who is diagnosed with a left-side hemiplegia (paralysis of left side of the body). There are several tests that can be used to diagnose the deficiency and strengths among such patients, among these scan of brain is vital test. The treatment will comprise of additional developmental questionnaires, computed tomography (CT) scan of the head and ultrasound of the brain among the effective ones. The use of additional developmental questionnaires vision impairment, hearing impairment and intellectual disabilities or mental retardation of Ms. A will be helpful in ascertaining strengths and deficit of her health condition. Additionally, Computed Tomography (CT) scan of the head will offer proper understanding of about the eyes and facial bones condition of Ms. A. Working and long-term memory performance of Ms. A is quite weak as she can move only for a brief period with the help of wheelchair. However, her personality is her biggest strength as she presents a positive attitude towards this disorder. Discussion 2 According to Freud, memory of a human being is permanent and things will not be forgotten easily. The statement of Freud could not be agreed upon as there are several aspects of human memory which he needs to know. Human memory consists of three chambers which comprise of sensory memory, short term memory (STM) and long term memory (LTM). Sensory memory is able to store data for a minimal period of time and lost accordingly. STM stores information to be implemented in any specific work and lost after a point of time. In addition to that, LTM stores information of events for a longer period time and might be stored throughout lifetime. However, if something is not being recalled on a regular basis, there is every chance that the events would be lost or forget. Apart from this any major accidents or trauma might also result in loss of memory and in turn the events would be entirely removed from the LTM. I have practically experienced these aspects when one of my friends lost his past memory entirely due a shock he experienced from an accident. He hardly remembers about his past life or any specific events. Owing to these aspects it can be said that Freud has an erroneous perception regarding the capacity of human memory. Moreover, emotions also have deep impact on the events recall power of the human memory. People with strong emotions tend to remember events for a longer period of time as compared to other with lesser emotions. These factors also firmly depicts that Freud’s perception is wrong about the aspect that memory is permanent and stable for anyone on his/her lifetime (Atkinson-Shiffrin, n.d.). Discussion 3 'Burrhus Frederic Skinner’ is among the renowned American psychologist and behaviourist. He was known all around the world for his theories on human behaviour called radical behaviourism. Among his major contribution towards human behaviourism, the behaviour modification model is quite vital for the human race. This model is quite effortless to be implemented with instant results. According to this model, human behaviour can be managed by some others and arrange them appropriately so that they depict an appropriate conduct. This model of skinner depicts that punishment is not the suitable corrective action for any misconduct of the humans. It instructs that good behaviour of people should be rewarded and the bad should be ignored which would further eliminate the negative behaviour from the society. However, this model of skinner also depicts that teachers should implement the use of punishment only in extreme cases and only with the assurance that their approach will yield positive behaviour among those who are punished. This model can also be considered effective owing to the fact that implementing behaviour modification approach will also led to establishing proper discipline among the students. Hence, it can be said that this model has the potential to restructure behaviour of people (Miltenberger, 2011). I believe that this model of Skinner will help me in my life to attain positive behaviour and shape positive outlook. This model will further aid me to develop positive thinking towards my education and career goals. Nonetheless, I believe that this model will indeed help me to cope effectively with the challenges that I might face in the course of attaining my career goals. Discussion 4 The job responsibility of a doctor is quite critical owing to the fact that they need to deal with changing and challenging scenarios. In this regard, the experience of Dr Mouratidis’s as a health care professional will be vital to consider. According to Dr Mouratidis’s, patients are the most interesting part of the job for a health care professionals. They became an important part of their everyday operations which further results in a strong bonding between health care professionals and doctors. Dr Mouratidis’s carry most of the practice with patients suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). It has been ascertained that Mild to Moderate TBI is quite frequent among the patient with TBI. Patients with such problem will need to be thoroughly examined and assessed. During the initial stage of such patient, supply of proper oxygen to the brain is ensured.
