Introduction

The United States of America plays a vital role in the world through international relations, and its relationship is overall in most countries in the world. The U.S. is being characterized as the overall character in about matters concerned the whole world (Knutsen, 2020). It helps formulate policy frameworks that the U.S. policymakers meant in terms of implementing, developing, and assessing the success of the U.S. policies on international affairs. Policies that are put in place help other foreign countries understand and interpret the U.S.'s actions to the world stage (Baylis, 2020). Some implications have been portrayed by the emergence in making America First again in the 20th century, which we would be able to elaborate under various aspects: health, environmental issues, global inequality, global governance, and human rights.

There are variations in roles of the United States since the end of World War II, where it can be described in general aspects that constitute some elements that include: global leadership, environmental issues, global inequality, healthy, human rights, and global governance (Knutsen, 2020). The U.S. role is changing drastically where the president of the United States, Donald Trump, affirmed during his inaugural ceremony that would make America great again. A change in the United States' role would make the country have significant effects on U.S. prosperity and other countries in the rest of the world (Knutsen, 2020). It may affect the United States in terms of their policies, which they would be able to put in place where relations with their allies and other foreign countries, global governance, and human rights can be affected. Some policies which may be in place may affect some countries that used to benefit from the U.S. to suffer under new policies that would be imposed on them (Baylis, 2020). Policies that have been imposed by Trump administration have been substantially affecting the role played by the United States to the world where the president has withdrawn his troops from Germany that may result in changes in its roles in the world.

There are allegations that the administration of Trump has changed foreign policies in several ways compared to policies that were initiated during the Obama tenure that attributed the change of roles of the U.S. to the world (Baylis, 2020). There have been critics between the Obama tenure and Trump administration on several imposed policies, hence leading the country's role to vary to the rest of the world. The view of the change of leadership between Obama and Trump has shown various implications on the change of leadership, which have been undesirable. Trump's leadership wanted to ensure America is Great Again by ensuring its people enjoy the rights they are supposed to get and employment for all by safeguarding its territories against their intruders. The foreign policy has resulted in some implications that have made the U.S. discard long-held values of the state built for a long time. Trump administration has been at the forefront to ensure it has ordained the U.S. values and interests of its citizens to adjust to the global circumstances to defend America. The foreign policy resulted in the adjustment of the deterrence of potential regional aggression through ensuring the U.S. actions are less predictable with his allies. The foreign policy introduced in the U.S. has resulted in global leadership in the world where countries in the rest of the world have been able to impose that spirit. The senate of the United States wants to isolate itself from the U.N. by rejecting the aspects of participating in that organization. America has been able to get involved in matters about global governance, where it has tried to help its allies and other foreign countries handle leadership issues. During the attack of Japan on the attack on Pearl Harbor, U.S. was able to intervene where President Franklin Roosevelt was able to share with their allies on ways of becoming up with a security agency that would be able to deal with issues pertaining to the security. It was the establishment of the United Nations, which was made to ensure peace and security is maintained in their member countries to promote international relations. In terms of economic issues, there was a formation of the economic front that was established called the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, which aided to foster economy all over the world (Baylis, 2020). The formation of U.N. organization and creation of the World Bank facilitated global governance over the world, which facilitated countries to improve their economy as America was able to dwell better in terms of their economy.

The foreign policy has helped the U.S. improve their health care system, where President Obama had come up with an initiative of Obama Care, which used to help the citizens of America (Baylis, 2020). Obama was able to fund a lot of money for the organization by enhancing its health care facilities. Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a crisis in the world where the president of US Donald Trump and his secretary Pompeo have often referred the coronavirus, the "Chinese virus," which to many have subjected to racist and stigmatization. The disease has affected most of the countries in the world. The United States has been hit sharply by the disease where most people have lost lives. At first, Donald Trump congratulated China through working closely to ensure they contained the disease during early January 2020. However, later was able to blame by not informing other countries on how they are supposed to handle the disease (America First Meets Global Pandemic, 2020). The disease amused most of the briefings by referring to it as the Chinese virus. Trump was against the World Health Organization when he said that he wanted to withdraw from the organization because he was not performing according to their expectations; hence, they contributed much to the WHO. The United Nations had to intervene where they were unable to cheap in to help because of global lockdown over the world (America First Meets Global Pandemic, 2020). However, the shambolic pressure put on the organization was to ensure they act to help victims of the pandemic.

In terms of healthy, president Trump has contributed a lot in safeguarding his citizens' health by ensuring their wellbeing is taken care of. The president has ensured their people are given priority when the need arises by ensuring they are given enough assistance they require before its allies, which has been a historic harmonization of international affairs (U.N. Security Council ‘Missing In Action’ in Coronavirus Fight, 2020). The federal government of the United States was able to ensure its citizens can receive better services in terms of their health as far as concerned. Through his administration, President Trump has ensured their citizen can acquire better health care facilities to curb the existing pandemic of covid-19 before its allies receive their aid, hence promoting the health sector (America First Meets Global Pandemic, 2020). America was one of the countries that hit the highest global pandemic testing in the world.

President Trump had put efforts into ensuring his citizens can stay in a safe environment. The federal government has created funds to ensure the environment is clean by allocating funds to environmental agencies to ensure the country is free from hazards (Baylis, 2020). President Trump is at the upper hand in the United Nations' league in ensuring they can mitigate climate change in the rest of the world. President Donald Trump has been alliance averse where he has withdrawn from the Paris climate treaty and Iran nuclear deal for the benefit of its people to be safe (Knutsen, 2020). Initiatives that have been taken by President Trump have helped the U.S. and its allies in improving matters related to the environment.

Conclusion

The foreign policy introduced in the United States that seems to give America first priority in everything has resulted in various complications. The majority of the U.S. allies have misinterpreted the narrative by negatively alleging the U.S. The statement tries to portray that the Americans are the ones to be given priority in accessing services before the allies can receive them. Still, its allies are essential in ensuring they can receive those services. Through its president Donald Trump, the U.S. has helped its people in various issues of health, human rights, global leadership, and environmental issues. Through efforts made by the United States, it has tried to help international relations among its allies and the rest of the world on the policies they formulate to be the overall character in the world.
