College Application - Personal Statement Example

College Application Personal ment Physics and mathematics are definitely some of the most challenging, hated and feared subjects from high school. These are the reasons few people would like to pursue a higher education in such subject matters. I choose to pursue the two subjects based on the high level of curiosity I naturally possess, as well as out of my good performance in these two subject areas. I would like to expand my knowledge in these two areas and be able to pass the same knowledge to students.

I hope to be able to change the attitude of students about these subjects.My childhood and adulthood years according to my relatives, have been marked with an increasing level of curiosity in challenging subject matter. The curiosity has led me to asking and researching about matter and energy surrounding the earth. The fact that I naturally excelled in mathematics is an added bonus to the pursuance of the subject. My interests have been centred on making discoveries about understanding physical matter.

It is for these reasons that I have worked in jobs and internships in places such as science centres and research centres that handle issues of physical matter and energy. I have had the opportunity to go to space camp once just to learn about the energy and matter surrounding space technology and not just about astronauts as is common in such a place. My driving force in is the fact that I will satiate my curiosity and enable other children do so as well in future.
