Philosophy of Nursing Introduction Everyone has a philosophy whether they take thetime to think about it or not. We all have beliefs about what nursing is and what it is not. Those beliefs influence the choices we make. It doesnt make a difference what particularly it is. However, it is critical that I convey and stay consistent with my own ethical & moral qualities at all times. Nursing to me is substantially more than the therapeutic angles. I’d need to say that its difficult to discrete my rationality of nursing from my theory of life. Its pretty straightforward: My philosophy is an inspiration from a visit to a 3rd world country (Kenya) Kenyatta Hospital cancer ward for children. I was shocked by what I saw innocent, helpless souls left for death by their parents. That’s when I decided to be kind it doesnt hurt to sing a song or read a book to a sick child in bed. Respect others and their differences we all come from different backgrounds and lastly treating everyone the same way I want to be treated. Nursing is a compensating vocation that gives the best chance to save lives, solace and administer to those in need. The nursing calling tends to keep running in my family and have motivated me to end up a medical attendant too. This calling is the most requesting and effectual calling on the planet. Theories of Nursing We have many theories in nursing namely: Need hypothesis underscores the significance of expanding a customers autonomy to advance their continued recuperating advancement after hospitalization. Henderson identifies three major assumptions in her model of nursing, nurse’s care for a patient until a patient can care for him or herself, they are willing to serve devoting themselves to the patient day & night and education at the college level in both sciences and arts. System Model contains a component of adaptability (Butts & Rich, 2008). The hypothesis concentrates on the reaction of the patient system to real or potential natural stressors and the utilization of essential, auxiliary, and tertiary nursing counteractive action mediation for maintenance, achievement, and support of patient system wellbeing. Interpersonal theory, nursing is therapeutic because it is a healing art, assisting an individual who is sick or in need of health care (Butts & Rich, 2008). Nursing is an interpersonal procedure because it includes cooperation between two or more people with a general objective of giving the motivation to the helpful procedure in which the attendant and patient regard one another as people, both of them learning and developing as an aftereffect of the collaboration. Four concepts common in nursing hypothesis that impact and decide nursing practice are patients, environment, health and nursing. Patient and the relationship to nursing The patient is a recipient of care, including physical, spiritual, psychological, and socio-cultural components. The nurse–client relationship is a connection intended to improve the well- being of a customer, which may be an individual, a family, community, or a group. Peplaus hypothesis is of high importance to the medical attendant customer relationship, with one of its important perspectives being that both the medical caretaker and the customer turn out to be more educated and develop through the span of their relationship (Taylor, 2010). He trusted that the relationship relied on upon the collaboration of the contemplations, emotions, and activities of every individual and that the patient will experience better well-being when all their particular needs are met in their relationship. Environment and the relationship to nursing The environment is all inner and outside conditions, circumstances, and impacts influencing the individual wellbeing. Difficult circumstances led to ill health and diseases, for instance, cholera. The environment could be altered to improve conditions so that the natural laws would allow healing to occur (Kim, 2006). Florence Nightingale’s Legacy of caring Focuses on nursing and the patient environment relationship. She served as a medical caretaker amid the Crimean War, at that time she watches a relationship between the patients who kicked the bucket and their ecological conditions. As an aftereffect of her perceptions, the Environment Theory of nursing was conceived. The objective of the medical caretaker is to help the patient in staying in parity. Health and the relationship to nursing Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease. If the health of human beings deteriorates, nurses come in handy. I chose nursing as my profession because I have always had a desire to serve and educate others about health and nursing has given me an opportunity to do that. Nursing and the relationship to nursing Nursing incorporates self-sufficient and cooperative consideration of people of all ages, families, gatherings and groups, debilitated or well and in all settings. Nursing includes the advancement of well-being, avoidance of ailment, and the consideration of ill, handicapped and biting the dust individuals (Olin, 2013). Nursing incorporates the improvement of wellbeing, counteractive action of sickness, and the attention of not well, debilitating and passing on individuals. Support, advancement of a sheltered situation, research, cooperation in forming wellbeing approach and inpatient and welfare frameworks administration, and training are likewise key nursing part. Medical attendants advocate for wellbeing advancement, teach patients and people in general on the counteractive action of sickness and harm, give care and help with the cure, take an interest in restoration, and give support (Olin, 2013).Medical attendants individuals and their families adapt to the ailment, manage it, and if fundamental live with it so that different parts of their lives can proceed. Conclusion I am interested in nursing because I care about people. I want to be a crucial care attendant because I want to take care of patients and families when they are at their worst. I need to nurture the sick back to physical, mental, and total wellbeing. I need to give enthusiastic and otherworldly backing to the groups of the patients in my unit. I need to advocate for my patients, and I need to guarantee that I give the best care that is humanly conceivable amid each shift. On the off chance that giving that gauge of consideration means staying late, coming in right on time, or working myself deep down amid my day of work, then I am more than willing to do as such.
