Destiny Insert Insert What is the perspective? What answer does it offer to the beautiful question? The perspective used to establish a definition of destiny is the Christian perspective of destiny in terms of the human life. According to the Christians, destiny is what is used to describe events that have happened to the humanity and have influenced their lives in one way another. The Christian bible describes destiny throughout the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. There are different situations where individuals in the bible are faced with their current situation, as a result, of the influence of destiny in their lives.

Moreover, the bible does not provide a precise description of destiny but establishes situations in the lives of the characters to show the influence of destiny in their lives (Niebuhr, 2004). According to the Christians’ perspective, destiny is the main determinant of a person’s past, present and the future predicaments. For example, most of the instances in the lives of human beings influenced by destiny include poverty, excessive possession of wealth, greediness, corruption, immorality, relationship and their influence in the society.

Moreover, an individual’s future predicaments are also determined by destiny. For example, Christians believe that, ones actions and conduct on earth determines their future situations in terms of hell and heaven. This remains a fact in the majority of the Christianity believers and is regarded as the primary form of manifestation of destiny in the human life. Most of the actions and conducts of individuals on earth are highly influenced by destiny which determines their future position, which is life after death according to Christianity.

What research did you look at that represents this perspective? While formulating the answer to the fascinating question on the destiny, study was conducted on the basis of the teachings of the bible. Evaluation of the different instances under which the lives of the characters in the bible was determined by destiny provides an excellent argument for the research. In addition, a literature review of the existing theologists and their attempts to identify the exact meaning of destiny as depicted in the bible contributed to the study (Nieburh, 2002).

Furthermore, more supportive evidence on the topic was obtained by interviewing various Christians on their understanding of destiny and how it has influenced their live (Niebuhr, 2004). The results obtained clearly show that, based on the Christianity view, destiny is an occurrence that determines an individual’s past, present as well as future conditions. It cannot be determined by the person but dictates their predicaments (1 Samuel 19).How precisely is this perspective supported? The Christian view with respect to destiny is highly supported by the experiences of the characters in the bible.

For example, Moses was brought up in the palace and was able to learn leadership skills that helped later in guiding the Israelites from Egypt (Exodus 2:1-10). Moreover, David played music to king Soul throughout his teenage life and was well acquitted to the life in the palace which enabled him to the lead the kingdom effectively (1 Samuel 19). These instances obtained from the bible provide a precise description of destiny. What are some counter arguments or alternative viewpoints to this perspective?

The major counter arguments of the Christians perspective of destiny are the cases provided by the non-believers and scientists. They mainly describe destiny as a foreseen instance that influences the life of an individual. What is the tentative view on this perspective? The Christian perspective of destiny provides one of the best reasons given that it is based on an ancient book which gives examples in the form of experiences of the characters.ReferencesNieburh, R., Lehmann, P.
