Task Creation Myths Introduction There are many questions asked about the rationale of life and its significance. Many people ask why life has to start with life and what the meaning of death is mainly because they are in a quest to understand their purpose of life in time and the space they occupy. These questions have brought about numerous creation myths with different people arguing differently on the purpose life. With the quest, of answering questions about life, people have diverted from the facts and their argument is based on attitudes. Myths have influenced many people, and they usually argue realities based on these myths. There is a strong myth in the manuscript of Genesis which is accepted by everyone whether a believer in Christianity or not. The myth in Genesis connects modern things in science, which is accepted by many people. People believe that humans are the most superior beings on the universe as stipulated in the manuscript of Genesis. They also believe on the notion of the 7 working days and one day of rest. Despite the many attributes of created myths, they all spread the same message. Myths are so powerful because even after being challenged they always emerge more potent. Many people challenge myths by use of attitudes towards these facts and there are no new facts that are used to prove otherwise (Sproul 12). People ought to understand that they cannot stay without the myths because they provide meaning to life. These myths help individuals to comprehend things and give significance to life. People are able to understand the real world and argue things by use of facts. This issue is correct since it is often difficult to understand the personality of individuals. Many people ask who they are and how they can differentiate themselves from other people. Individuals use the physiological perception to distinguish themselves from other people. This is mostly seen by the how various donated organs react on people in times of surgery. People are often confused with reality because they do not know where it lies. Individuals ask whether identity lies on the physiological body or whether it is mandated by the state. Others ask whether the identity is under the controlling part of the universe or whether it is controlled by atoms. All these questions reveal that we cannot live without depending on the myths because they help individuals understand the real world (Sproul 28). Diverse cultures have different habits in answering questions to these myths. It is through these questions that the cultures are able to understand the real world and argue through facts. The cultures help individuals to understand the connection between man and the world, and the connection between time and space. Every culture believes their myths are the most superior of all myths because they are able to answer all questions. This is the main reason why the adults pass these myths to their children to act according to these traditions. Different cultures proclaim their myths are the most sacred and the other myths should conform according to their culture. This is why adults and children accept and do according to the expectation of these myths (Sproul 44). Myths are transmitted differently by many cultures, making people fail to understand that they are myths themselves. This is the reason why people are prisoners of their own traditions and they find the myths of other cultures to be less superior. Cultures that find their myths to be superior from others fail to get the basic facts from the other myths, which are influential in understanding the real world. These people fail to understand that myths are the fulfillment of their own prophesies. This is why human beings find themselves superior from other creatures and they treat them ruthlessly. As time passes and perceptions change, the old myths initiate new myths. This has influenced many cultures to change and revise their myths. This notion has influenced many cultures to change their myths in a way that they will fit and be acceptable to other cultures. For the revision of a myth to fit in modern times, both the words and it meaning ought to be altered. For instance, there is a campaign that all people are equal, but this is not applicable in the real sense. This is because black men and women are considered to be of a lower class as opposed to the white men. This issue is contradicting in the book of Genesis because women are taken to be dependent on men, but the seven days creation stipulates that man and woman are equal. Believing strongly to the claims of certain myths is in appropriate because people tend to contradict to science. People who believe strongly to their myths ignore the perception of other cultures, thus narrowing opportunity of understanding reality (Sproul 57). These people usually do not fit to the modernity world because they are strongly engraved to their traditional myths. This has deprived many people the ability to think intellectually to issues pertaining to reality. People who strongly hold to their myths do not give science a chance for the interpretation of phenomena. Describing myths from different perceptions and angles helps people to be able to appreciate the myths of other cultures. The strong believe of one culture results to individuals blinded and they cannot accept the changing science phenomena. Many cultures fear to compare their myths with the myths of other cultures because of the false perceptions of their myths. This is the solid reason why cultures want their myths to be superior to avoid dependency to other myths. There is confusion whether all myths are true because they have different proclamation. People should understand that languages may be different from various cultures, but the meaning to these myths is the same. It is because of this reason that people who proclaim that myths have different ideas are wrong. Language might be different but the message passed by different myths is the same. Myth is considered to connect highly to religion because many people tend to choose everything based to religion (Sproul 77). Many people might be interested to something and connect it to everything they do. Everything they do they mainly connect it with this factor, whether a game or a hobby. In their daily activities, they must involve this game or hobby because they find it to be good. When something or someone diverts them from this thing, they find it to be bad. The religion point of view is different because it does not rely on any other basis but its absolute truth. The perception of the religious point of view does not change with time or space; this is because it is considered consistent to other point of views. For a reality to be absolute, it should not be a thing or a being because both depend on something. Things and beings are limited in time and space; thus, they usually depend on external forces. Reality should be absolute without a specific beginning and ending, which does not change with time. Religion is absolute because it does not change with time, or it is not limited in time. Different religions proclaim of the same things even though the language they use is dissimilar, this is major prove that religion is absolute and real. Many myths try to proclaim this absolute reality as provided by religion, but most of them have difficulty in proving they are absolute. Creation myths attribute that they are able to be absolute because what they proclaim does not change (Sproul 85). The creation myth is agreeable by many people because it does not change with time or depend on external factors. It should be noted that not all creation myths are questioning widely on the issues of reality. Some myths only concentrate on some issues and ignore other realities. For, instance the creation theory ignore the fact of how the universe was created. Little interest is emphasized in the second book of genesis on how the universe and human beings were created. Even though, this myths show little interest in some issues. These myths have a tendency to appreciate the reality and concentrate on ideas such as death and the birth of individuals. Despite the range and depth of which these theories concentrate on, they usually emphasize and talk of the same things. Creation myths do not try to explaining and elaborate what is not known or prove what is known. The main agenda of the creation myth is to bring a connection between the known and unknown. This usually helps people to understand the real world by using facts instead of attributing attitudes in their argument. Religion mainly expands and elaborates beyond the connection of the unknown and known. It tries to bring a balance between the time and space that people are in the quest to understand. The creation theory tries to relate what religion tries to expose and reveal to people. Individuals usually have a quest to understand what is beyond what they see, and they ask many questions. The main concern is for the myths to provide absolute answers that will help them understand thing to their certainty (Sproul 98). The creation theory tries to unearth everything to find the absolute source of things. This is in the quest of searching the truth of where things came from and why they are limited in time and space. This problem is faced by religion when it tries to dig issues pertaining the source or origin of being. In the book of job, it is explained by how job questioned God on his sufferings and why he was allowing suffering to search extent. God asks job under what capacity was he supposed to ask such a questions or posse such challenges.
