In this article, terrorist suspect John Nuttal describes his plan to blow up the British Columbia Legislature on Canada Day (Canadian Press 2015). Nutall says that his motive for planting the Bomb on the lawn of the legislature is to avenge the bad treatment of Muslims around the world. The article reports that John Nuttall has on occasion condemned his country’s involvement in conflicts in Muslim countries. Nutall asserts that Jihad against infidels is his sacred duty and is necessary to stop the mistreatment of Muslims.

Article 2: Lindt café Siege
This article reports on an investigation of the activities of the Australian security forces during the Lindt Café Siege. According to Palin (2016), the inquest was undertaken to find out what could have been done differently to prevent the loss of life during the 17-hour ordeal. The inquest was held two years after home-grown terrorist Haron Monis stormed Lindt Café Sydney and took 18 people hostage. According to the report, the Police could have saved the Manager from execution had they stormed the Café when a sniper reported that the gunman was about to execute him. According to the inquest findings, the hostages stood a better chance of survival had the police entered the premise using a deliberate action plan instead of an Emergency Action plan.

Article 3: Teenagers Linked to Terror Plot
This news article details the foiled terror plans to attack a World War One centenary event in Melbourne. Five teenage terror suspects were arrested in connection to the plot teenagers with one already arraigned in court for plotting to commit a terrorist act. According to BBC News (2016), the five teenagers were inspired by ISIS to commit terror acts. Some of the arrested teenagers were linked to Abdul Numan Halder, a teenager who was shot after stabbing two police officers. Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott advised people to turn up in numbers for the Anzac Memorial to show terrorists that they are not afraid of their plots.
