I learned that people have different levels of perception which affect their understanding of a matter but does not have to mean that one is brighter than the other. For instance, a child understands the concept of love through the things or favors given to him while an adult looks at it analytically. For instance, a child knows he is loved when he is given a toy, remembering the time he was given a toy at an earlier time and being told the giver loves him.
The act of giving then becomes to him, a symbol of love while the adult would have other things to consider when given something like, what could be the giver’s intention and seeks answers that satisfy his logic. As seen in the above examples, children think differently because the bases of their reactions are imitation and memory while adults tend to approach things more scientifically and logically.
