Privacy Issues in relation to Internet During the last few years the massive use of computer technology has been observed. This massive utilization has given birth to a concept known as internet which is the revolution of global communications. An Internet is a sort of network which spans large geographic area. Because of the rise in the internet utilization, several problems have been definitely observed regarding information confidentiality and security. Therefore, seeking any kind of valuable data or information with the help of internet technology is not a simple task since it offers a lot of security related problems (Lawrenceville Press, 2007; Brown, DeHayes, Hoffer, Martin, & Perkins, 2009).
In reality, the privacy refers to the conformity of businesses, people or persons to choose what time, how and to what kind of data or information regarding their traits could be shared to other people across the world. Additionally, the use of the internet can pessimistically cause the privacy problems for the businesses or people such as their uniqueness or private information. It is frequent that massive internet utilization and business communication produce a good deal of private data and information that offer perception into an individual’s traits and benefit.
In this scenario, information privacy has turned out to be a chief problem for internet users (e-BusinessEthics, 2011; Brown, DeHayes, Hoffer, Martin, & Perkins, 2009; Vyberlawcentre, 2010). Moreover, the unexpected development of the internet technology has produced several privacy concerns that people have not at all met earlier. Consider an example of website “peoplesearch.com” which allows a person to perform backdrop web surfing, resources confirmation records and illegal backdrop details of any person for a payment of $39 to $125.
In addition, “whowhere.com” allows web users to order a backdrop record of any person inside the user’s database for just $39.95. On the other hand, this community evidence description comprises assets possession, social decisions, driving license, substantial report plus an abstract of business precious resources. Thus, internet privacy is definitely considered to be an imperative ethical/moral concern since a large number of businesses participating in electronic commerce based transactions have not so far built guidelines and set of predefined rules and regulations to support conscientious activities over the internet (e-BusinessEthics, 2011; Brown, DeHayes, Hoffer, Martin, & Perkins, 2009; Vyberlawcentre, 2010).
