I must comprehend the fact that peace is an important requirement within the different nations of the world, and it must be ensured no matter what. I would have to initiate armed intervention if a country goes against this dictum and is bent upon ransacking the same. I would not hesitate in allowing my army to take over the captured lands. Also, I would advise my army to make sure that the intervention does not hurt the cause of the country that is being taken over, and that the civilian killings are not brought about as a result of the same (Coyne, 2010).
Since I am the President of the United States, a great amount of responsibility is there that I need to grasp within my folds. I would have to be spot-on as far as making a claim about the usurpation of lands because I would not allow anyone to take complete or partial control of a country and bring about wrath and destruction (Olmsted, 2011). These realms cannot be afforded at any cost because success must be achieved within such ranks. I am of the view that armed intervention is the last way out under such scenarios and these must be dealt with with a stern approach in essence.
Therefore the criterion for initiating the armed intervention within a country is crystal clear. It has to be from the very top to ask for strict and harsh reactions from our side. America does not believe in taking control of an independent state and we are all for peace and amiability in this world (Rappert, 2011). Now if someone is bent upon bringing some sort of disrepute and anarchy within the reigns of this free world, we will ensure this does not take place. I am confident that the people of the United States would always welcome my approach towards limiting armed conflict as well as support me in my armed interventions, as and when required. This indeed shall bear constructive results at the end of the day.
In the end, I would like to assert that being the President of the United States is no easy task and that I shall fulfill the same with all my heart and understanding. I will not initiate armed intervention measures unless these are seriously required.
