What should not be allowed on Ebay and why? Ebay is an online company which provides all kinds of vendors with an opportunity to sell over or auction merchandise of any kind (Christensen, 2011). At Ebay, GPS systems should not be allowed for sale. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a very advanced, accurate and important tracking tool that is frequently made use of by detectives, police, and surveyors etc. It allows an individual to accurately trace any place and facilitates the process of detection.

Owing to its extreme usability in matters of criminal significance like robbery, abduction, killing and blasting, criminals can find easy access to it when Ebay allows them to purchase it. This can facilitate them in their negative activities and can be a potential source of harm for the peace of the society as a whole. People who are in such professions that require use of GPS have little trouble accessing it even if it is not available through Ebay. However, others that are not in a position to purchase GPS from their local areas can easily purchase it on Ebay and use it for whatever purpose they want.

There are many areas where people are supposed to get a license to keep a GPS with them because it is a potential source of help for criminals particularly when they want to perform their act in groups. Likewise, GPS software should also not be allowed to sell on Ebay because of the same reason as that for GPS device. Worst thing people have a problem with at Ebay: Worst thing people have a problem with on Ebay is that it does not allow sale of any kind of medication (Hubpages, 2011). Fake medicines are common in a lot of underdeveloped countries.

In these countries, people produce false medicines in the name of real ones in order to make profits on the cost of customers’ life. People are highly skeptical about the quality of medicine they purchase. Medicines are already very costly. When there is likelihood of sale of false medicines in the market, people loose motivation to seek medical treatment that involves use of medication. People look forward to more authentic means of getting medicines because there is a culture of distrust in their own countries.

Ebay is a website well trusted among masses for the quality of its products. In such conditions, when Ebay bans the sale of medicines, people are deprived of one extremely authentic sources of acquiring medicines. My point of view: I strongly feel that Ebay should allow sale of medicines so that people can have access to good quality medicines. Ebay can put certain restrictions or checks upon the sale in order to improve the quality of product and prevent purchase of medicine for harmful purposes.

Medicines should be checked for quality, expiry dates and protection while delivery. On the consumer side, consumers should be made to provide the website administrators with sufficient proof of doctor’s recommendation of the particular medicine that is being asked for.
