The article also focuses on the NANDA-International and Nursing Intervention Classification (NIC) as the most global and well-developed classification system that can be applied in the case of a dilated cardiomyopathy. This kind of disorder can be treated and the treatment will depend on the type of cardiomyopathy you are suffering from and its seriousness. The treatment may include medications, devices that may be surgically implanted or in more serious cases there may be a heart transplant.

This kind of disorder may have many a lot of signs and symptoms for example the muscles of the heart may become enlarged, rigid, or even thicker. In certain instances, the muscle tissue that is found in the heart may be replaced by scar tissue though this case is rare. Causes and Risk Factors Hypertension: this comes as a result of high blood pressure since the heat has to work extremely harder so as to serve all the parts of the body with the required blood. This condition may result in gradual weakening of the muscles of the heart when the case becomes so severe.

Consumption of alcohol in excess may also lead to the progressive death of the heart muscles and finally, it can lead to congestive heart failure. Any individual; suffering from cardiomyopathy should avoid consumption of alcohol of any form. Nursing Assessment A serious and careful examination of the patients can help to provide very essential information. Heart failure has a lot of multisystem effects such as dyspnea, orthopnoea, and many more. These are the classic symptoms of patients with HF.
