large amounts of money in order to enhance their relationships with the Latino population through customized publications in their native Spanish language. This initiative has proven to be successful (Double base Media mark Research & Intelligence, 2007). In a similar approach, I would, to the best of my ability address Mrs. Hernandez in her native language, which would subconsciously make her feel more accommodating and well taken care of.
Having gained her trust, the next step would be to get her on a diet with regular exercise. First, the main cause of increased weight is unsaturated fat in the meals we eat. Therefore, I would advice Mrs. Hernandez to adopt unsaturated fats and do away with saturated and trans fat in her cooking. Unsaturated fat is inclusive of omega-3 fatty acids. Adopting unsaturated fats will serve to reduce the number of calories Mrs. Hernandez takes in and also reduce her serum low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. In terms of exercise, it is clear that Mrs. Hernandez stays at home most of the time, and it is likely that the number of hours spent of television and lazing around has contributed to her condition. I would, therefore, recommend a one hour walks every day to be sufficient exercise considering her age.
Cuban folk medicine is mainly herbal. I would, however, advise Mrs. Hernandez not to opt for that alternative and instead take the oral hypoglycemic agent prescribed by the doctor. To convince her towards this end, I would ensure that she understands that I respect and admire her culture and that I am in no way trying to undermine it. Cubans generally subscribe to the values of marianismo and machismo, which makes them more reluctant to consult doctors on health issues. They, however, also look to the community for opinions, and at this juncture I would use her daughter, Mariana, who has already assimilated to convince her of my noble intent in offering her the medicine.

Discussions began in December 1959 of the destabilization of Castro's government or of his removal from power (Andrew 1995). Eisenhower in particular was worried about the threat posed by Castro's regime, explaining to British Prime Minister Macmillan in August 1960, "that if Castro survived another year, 'most of the Governments in this Hemisphere … run the risk of being overtaken by revolution…" (Andrew 1995: p.
Revolutionary wars are battles projected by certain group of political elite to oust the other ruling party or the likely party to rule and deny them access to power. Revolutionary wars can also be scheduled by a certain group of armies to oust ruling political party deemed as authoritative and undemocratic towards its noble citizens.
Kennedy during his tenure of presidency when the Russian government began to build bases for missiles in Cuba. The challenge for Kennedy in October 1962 was to remove the Russian missiles from Cuba before they became operational while striving to maintain peaceful decorum1.
The missile station in Cuba got built by the USSR so that Cuba would be able to protect itself from the United States invasion (Cuban missile crisis, 2011). The Soviet Union plus the United States entered into an agreement through back channels of communication to withdraw the missiles.
Introduction The Jungle is a big painting with a very complicated, complex composition. In it are four female figures in a line across the canvas. Tricky to make out, the figures seem interwoven in all sugarcane stalks, and their twisted extensive, straight limbs mix with the uniformly shaped plants.
While a writer’s background and the many ways in which his history can influence his works can prove to be a complicated meshing of factors, it is clear that Hawthorne’s past helped to form the basis for many of his stories. The focus will be on his unique role of the town of Salem and the self-imposed weight of Hawthorne’s ancestry.
