Hence by doing so, good health care is obtained as well as the creation of stable foundations for upcoming medics. In this line, the nursing proposal offers guidance or a plan of a particular research study which can lead to the generation of results that would be added to the new knowledge base.

Since research is a systematic process of inquiry with an aim of building knowledge in a given discipline, my nursing research proposal will be of great benefit as it will help in building knowledge in the field of nursing, and by doing so it also contributes to the evidence-based nursing practice (Keele, 2010). The results of the research proposal are always drawn from a review of different literature resources hence it implies that my proposal will also give solid evidence pertaining to medical care.

The results that are obtained from the past research studies review, and from different reliable sources, can be utilized as a basis of decision making and can also assist in the intervention of the nurses. The decision that is made from the results will promote the evidence-based practice because the decision which is to be made is whether the professional experience is enough to determine the cultural competence in a hospital setup. In my research, I will use the qualitative research design (Barker, 2009).

Qualitative design is a kind of inquiry that is involved with analyzing information that is obtained through behavior and also language in a given natural setting. In this design, one can capture expressive information such as values, feelings, motivations, and believes which are very hard to obtain through quantitative methods. Since my work entails cultural competence then I do not have any other options rather than to adopt the qualitative means as it is the best suited for my research (Barker, 2009).

This is because it is very difficult to gather the information that I need if I use quantitative means. With the adoption of the qualitative design, I will also incorporate both technical and thought-full reflection of the researchers because there are some areas that I will be forced to handle statistically to analyze the data so as to get the meaning of the raw data and other areas, I will just use a reflection of thoughts.
