The most appropriate research that provides the highest level of support for nursing EBP is quantitative research. In this case, this type of research provides support for Evidence Practice in nursing by using statistical data and analyzing the data from various resources and samples in order to derive results that generalized the findings from the sample to the entire population. In effect, this contributes significant support to the nursing practice based on the findings from the quantitative research. Conversely, it is evident that quantitative research provides knowledge about precise topics that provide the required knowledge for support in nursing practice. Hence, this type of research leads to conclusive knowledge that provides solutions for the nursing practice and informs nurses’ decisions based on evidence from practice.

Peer-reviewed journals commonly appear in academic journals, and they undergo a lot of scrutiny from experts in the fields of research in order to determine their accuracy, significance, and originality. In effect, the experts’ opinion informs the printing of articles by the editors of the journal. Hence, various ways determine whether the journals have undergone peer review. First, the journal in which an article appears determines whether the article underwent peer review. In this case, cross-checking the journal with a list that contains peer-reviewed journals is crucial. Secondly, it is important to cross-check whether an article appears in databases such as university libraries, ProQuest, JSTOR, and many databases that contain peer-reviewed articles. In effect, articles that appear in these databases have undergone peer review. Finally, some articles contain information regarding whether they appeared in peer-reviewed journals. Hence, such information present in an article indicates the presence of peer-reviewed articles.
