The styles that characterized this period are discussed below The music had a cleaner texture than baroque. The music was done in a less complicated way which was mainly homophonic.

The music had lots of simplicity that seek to appeal to as many types of audiences s possible. The music puts great emphasis on the beauty and grace of the melody, its form, balance, and also proportion. The music was expressed in a polished and elegant state. The formal structure of the music was tightly held in place. The music had lots of clarity, the forms such as the sonata exhibited clarity. The melodies had tunes that were easy to remember and sing along; they were short and considerably appealing to the interest of many people.

The music was characterized by slower harmonic movements. Question 5 Orchestra instrumentation  The orchestra instrumentation was a piano, a guitar, a violin, and a double bass. Question 6 Listener type During the performance, I listened as a keen listener (Baller, 1). In the course of the presentation, I asked myself several questions regarding the way the music made me feel.

Was it because of the manner in which the performer was interpreting the music or was it because of the speed and volume which the music played?  I tried to recall where I had once had a chance to listen to the playing music and the other works of art that the performer has done. I went ahead and sought to understand more beyond the music technicality. Question 7 Unity and variety Upon listening to the performance, the unity and variety were vividly expressed in the work of art. The different pieces in the performance were brought together and united from an excellent performance that was attractive to the ears of many.

The repetition in most of the pieces was done in a balanced manner that led to the audience get interested in the music. The performance had little variety, the musical sounds had their notes remain in key, and the rhythms did not change much despite the many repeated parts.   Structure The music performance was done not in continuity because it experienced repetition in most of the parts of the music. In some instances, the performers used new rhythms and tempo and different instrumentation, but this combination of the forms was repeated several times to bring in some conformity in the music.

Purpose The music had a sense of purity, significance, longevity, and intelligence. It made the audience engaged when they listened to it. The purpose of the performance was not unveiled to many; this is because they took it as a film that was meant to look dramatic. Form The music performance was in a less intensive and pure form. To many, the pieces were grasped and enjoyed along. Tempo The performance was slow and solemn. The different pieces and sounds were audible, and the audience was able to record.

Volume The performance was soft in volume. The note and the pitch were conducive and friendly to the ears. The volume levels remained constant, and there was no echo in the performance hall. Rhythm The sound placement with time was orderly and coincided with the body movement of the performers. The audience also enjoyed had their body move in accordance with the sounds of the performance. Melody The melody in the performance was bright and uplifting to the senses. It brought about a feeling of happiness.

People nearly got up to join in the dances during the performance. Harmony The homophonic nature and texture in the performance are a representation of a harmonized work of art. The instrumentation and the human sound were in harmony for the fulfillment of the performance. Question 8 The performance was electrifying and enjoyable. Citing the performance mood, altitude, and the fulfillment of the purpose of the performance, one can comfortably say that the performance was one of a kind. The performer's dressing and arrangement during the performance made them visible to the audience making the audience to be in full conformity with the whole session.
