Presentation of music in the classical era involved the use of specific methods and instruments. These styles need training so that modern musicians can learn from them and develop better performances and presentations (Burrows, 2005). For example, symphony and orchestra developed as forms of classical music performances and presentation. Popular music today can use this knowledge to improve their performance and borrow their standardized styles.
Lastly, the knowledge of classical music enables music fans and music producers to appreciate popular music because it enables them to understand the significance of music since the early periods of classical music (Burrows, 2005).
